Sure she is..

She's had the freedom to make a complete ass of herself by opening her mouth, and the freedom to embroil herself in various campaign scandals, and the freedom to marry a woman, so yes, she's The Voice of Freedom!

This woman is truly a freedom fighter: she made it socially acceptable for conservative women to suck on foot-long brown things in public.

She absolutely is. In few other countries in the world would someone be allowed to spew such a consistent stream of blathering nonsense, certainly not while holding elected office.

As one of the libbiest libs of libville, let me defend Boehner on this. He's a politician. One of his party members is leaving. He has to say something.  So nice-sounding empty platitudes is what she got. That's all.

It does amuse me that the who seem to have the greatest problem with this statement are the same people who want cradle to grave government control of everyone's life.

Which is not to say I'm a fan of Bachmann but it's like listening to one group of people who would happily abuse the power of government in the pursuit of power deride a person who would gladly abuse the power of government in the pursuit of power for different people.

I used to play in a band with von Hitlerhitler. He was pretty good at keeping time, but whenever he had too much to drink he always wanted to sing.

Nearly every comment here is making fun of her for being an insane person.  Your simile makes no sense in relation to the rest of the thread.

"I find it interesting that it was back in the 1970s that the swine flu broke out then under another Democrat president Jimmy Carter. And I'm not blaming this on President Obama, I just think it's an interesting coincidence."

"But we also know that the very founders that wrote those documents worked tirelessly until slavery was no more in the United States."

"Carbon dioxide is portrayed as harmful. But there isn't even one study that can be produced that shows that carbon dioxide is a harmful gas."

Oh, Michele. We'll miss you.

I think it's mistaken to be too cheerful about her leaving, because now she'll get to do what she wants without being encumbered by things like the U.S. House Rules of Official Conduct.

Unlike Palin, who basically rattled off silly soundbites, Bachman is a believer.

I don't know, but this is a golden opportunity for any activists in her district to run someone a lot less derpy.
