I think it's time for the inevitable GI Joe/Transformers crossover.

Okay... they are just trolling now.  Drift, the sword wielding samurai autobot who transformed from a Japanese sports car (hence, Drift)... is now a French car?

Shouldn't Drift be a modified ricer?

Only way I take this new trilogy serious is if the following characters are somehow involved:

-Unicron/Primus
-Galvatron (Not no damn Megatron)
-Ultra Magnus

Unicron, to me at least, was over played in the Transformer cartoon series (Armada, Cybertron, etc...).

Galvatron should show up since Megatron has been killed.

Ultra Magnus' absence needs to be corrected.

They look fine as vehicles, but will their robot modes still look like someone stuck a proper Transformer into a chipper and then stuck random bits onto a metal skeleton?

How about no and you can start on a MASK movie.

Agreed.  I hate that I can't tell what robot body part is being flung around.  You might as well throw in a bunch of coat hangers and some diodes and roll that heap down a hill cause that's basically what I saw when they were tussling.  Also, I can't wait for this movie this summer:

Rumor mills saying Dinobots, Shockwave, and yes Galvatron. Galvatron IS Megatron though. Rebuilt by Unicron. I'm curious how this is all going to be done. And Im sure "splosions" Bay is going to butcher more of my memories of generation one goodness.

They killed Shockwave in the third movie.  And Starscream.  Actually, I think they killed off most of the Decepticons in 3.....

I see this exact same sentiment online all the time. Hope you didn't hurt yourself jumping onto the internet bandwagon, dude.

All 3 movies had the exact same problems. Any problem you can find with either of the sequels is there in the first movie too. People just have blinders on with the first movie because it had the privilege of being the first.

This.

They'e all just action porn. Only difference between the movies is that the second one has too much exposition -- the first one is certainly the best paced. Besides that, there aren't huge differences between them.

Wahlberg recalled to correspondent Josh Horowitz. "Bay goes, 'You wanna know what it is?' [I replied] 'Well if you want to tell me, but I want to work because I can't act." That film turned out to be "Transformers 4," a project that Wahlberg jumped at the chance without even knowing the role he would play. "[Michael Bay asked] 'Do you want to know what the part is or what the story is?' I go, 'I'm just happy to be working"

The robots look like shiat, too many cutaways and the action is too close up so you can't tell who's fighting who. CGI should be so good in 2013 but I swear I see more than a few movies (even high budget ones) where it just sucks. I haven't seen Fast n Furious 6 yet, but hopefully wherever they used CGI looks good.

Still no Hound.

This pleases me.

After Bay desecrated Jetstream/Skyfire in 2, I've lived in fear that my other favorite Autobot was gonna get the same treatment. So far, Hound's been safe via obscurity.

Not true. I was sick a week ago and watched 3 again, and my god, it was unbelievably awful. Just awful. The first one really is the best, and they get worse from there.

Or maybe it's possible that 1 was just better than 3? What's your deal man? This is one of those situations where if everyone but you is certain about something, you're probably wrong.

My sentiments exactly.  One of the greatest thrills of those Transformers toys was seeing how all the parts convert from one place to another.  The movies denied us this by going with an entirely cheap cop-out - a mess of angular pixels thrown around like a massive sleigh-of-hand trick.

With the robots being so damn unrecognizable, it was difficult to empathize with them, so the director crammed in way too much human storylines to compensate - so, a lot of Shia LaBeouf to make up for lazy 3D modeling.  Just bad all around.

Huge fan of the 3rd movie, however.

I wish they'd do a reboot, set it in the 80's. And if they can justify the existance of a giant metal scorpion that doesn't even transform, then Orci and whoever's excuse of not including the Dinobots so far is full if shiat.
