(CBS Sports)   OK, I know the last 17 seasons haven't exactly worked out as planned, but THIS is the year the Cowboys put it all together and get back to the SuperBowl. Seriously. For true   (cbssports.com ) divider line

The only person deluded enough to think the Cowboys have any shot of winning is Jerry Jones. Maybe his douche of a son, as well

2013-05-29 01:00:45 PM
Except they ranked the Broncos #1, who haven't won a Super Bowl in 15 years, which admittedly is less than 17, but it's pretty close. So why not call out the Broncos, subby? Oh I know why. Never mind.

No, two or three years.

Make sure they can't make it into a WE DID THIS FOR JERRUH! wankfest.

This Eagles fan totally supports giving Tony Romo an even longer extension along with playing RG3 through the pain, let's get him out there now and running Mike, full pad practice time.

I don't support KEEPING MICHAEL VICK WHO IS WORSE THAN ROMO AS A QB, seriously, how do people never look at the fact that he is just a faster version of Tebow

/not serious on the RG3 thing
///serious on the other two

If you honestly think Romo is the problem with the Cowboys, then you haven't been watching very much football. OR you're just trying to troll me, in which case..... hmmm.... 3/10. Extra point for getting a bite.

I know you are a Romo gal but not meant as a personal jab (just like I would get crap for being a McNabb mark back in the day). They have many problems, but I don't think we'll ever be hearing "Tony Romo, NFC Champion" so I like them putting the eggs in that basket.

Exactly. And that's why any Cowboys success would only be tolerable after a sufficient amount of time had passed to allow a new owner to wash away the Jerruh stink.

/no Cowboys success is always preferable, but in the case of there being success, No Jerruhs allowed.

If I'm reading it right, he's just going position-by-position on each team and applying his own subjective ranking to compile a larger subjective team ranking.

I can do that. Hire me, CBS Sports.

When Jerry Jones took over the Cowboys a friend of mine said the Cowboys would never win a title with him as G.M. and that if they did he would walk to Arlington Stadium (Now Cowboy Stadium) on a stick pony dressed as the Cowboy from the Pee Wee Herman Show. He now lives in St. Louis but said he's still game.

Been a Cowboy fan since the early 80's, never wanted a championship more.

Di, I love you so I really wish you weren't forced to support such a douchnozzle owner/quarterback/franchise.

You seem extremely down-to-earth (to a fault, some might say), which is a known quality of HOUSTON not DALLAS, and you're funny and clever to boot. Plenty of room at or near Reliant for you, and you would love the fan base and vice versa.

If you come to town, I'll buy us 50-yard line tickets, we'll do a tailgate, and you can see for yourself firsthand.

I hate it when bad things happen to good people. Just trying to help.

Last year showed us (again) that a top 12 QB could get on a hot streak and carry a team with a mediocre defense to the championship.

Romo hopes that it is true for the 13th or 14th best QB as well.

Hey man, I don't hate the Texans. Hell, Arian Foster is my favorite non-Cowboys player in the league. I don't talk trash about any teams that aren't in the NFC East. Maybe some jabs at the Browns or Steelers from time to time, but nothing hateful.

The author of the article ranked him 9th. If you read the article, there is a section entitled "quarterbacks." If you want, you can open the article and then hold down the "CTRL" key & hit the "F" key. A box will pop up. If you type in "quarterbacks," it should take you to the section where the quarterbacks are ranked. Good luck!

Di Atribe: Yeah, I know. I can still think it's lame though, right?

Sure, but understand that up here in Kansas we have to put up with Cowboys fans like you wouldn't believe. Even before the early 90's run, when I was in like 5th grade in probably like '85 or '86, I can remember doing this art project where we glued rice to a piece of cardboard and spray painted it. For whatever reason they told us we all had to do an NFL logo, and yeah, probably 80% of the class went for the Cowboys. There are so many Cowboys fans here it affects the national broadcasts on Sundays: Fox will almost always give us Cowboys v. Whomever over, say, Niners/Seahawks or Falcons/Saints.

Just saying, some of us come by it honestly.

We know how to lose like an adult cause we've had so much practice.

Houston has so much talent right now. Hopkins is starting to look like another steal like Watt turned out to be. Let's just hope Kubiak learns there's different offense schemes besides "run-pass-run-punt."
