The mere fact that Joey Crawford is still allowed to ref in the NBA is just astounding.

IAmRight: HideAndGoFarkYourself: Jordan's even spoken on it, and said he'd never have dreamt of it, because as a competitor, he wanted to beat those guys, not join them.

Your little Bron-Bron isn't going to sleep with you, no matter how much you white knight him.

You're the one white-knighting Jordan.

And of course everyone from that generation is going to say they never would've done it...because they never had the option and it makes them look tougher.

/also, calling three guys who never played each other in the playoffs "rivals" shows a complete lack of understanding how sports work by everyone who makes this argument.

No, I'm the one who brought Jordan up as an example.  I could have just as easily picked any other elite player.

You keep saying they "never had the option," but that's flat out untrue.  NOTHING has ever stopped a player from calling his free agent friends and setting up a scenario like Lebron, Wade and Bosh did.  Nothing at all.

You're saying that because they never played each other in the playoffs that they're not rivals?  You clearly don't understand how sports work.  They're all playing for the same thing, a title.  Everyone in the NBA, from Lebron and Kobe down to the mere mortals on the worst team, are competing against each other for the championship, ergo, they're your rivals for that particular prize.  Nevermind the various individual awards that are contested each year.

Once again, YouAreWrong.

I already made the joke in the Spurs thread, but maybe, just maybe, Pacers pick up another West from D-League?

LeBron->No titles when he's involved
LeBron->One title when he isn't involved

IAmRight: I kinda have to admire that offensive foul on LeBron - they called that even without a flop.

On the one hand, it's nice that they're not requiring flops in order to draw phantom calls.

I mean, let's be serious, Joe Crawford is the head ref. The fact that he, bavetta, and palmer still have jobs should be enough to can Stern and Jackson.

Well, there goes Birdman. That was quick.

LeBron, it would be nice if you started getting back into "F*ck you" mode instead of "Melo mode".

So I guess once the Heat realized they aren't going to be punished for flopping and LeBron can actually recommend it without penalty, they are just going to dial it up to 11 tonight. Honestly, someone needs to go for the ejection, knock LBJ or Wade in the mouth and yell "NOW THAT IS A FARKING FOUL"

Doogled: So was Wade fined for his Game 3 flop?  No?  Oh...

Crazy how the flop rules never go after superstars like Wade, LeBron, Manu, Paul, Harden, etc. The day Stern retires will probably be one of the most celebrated days in NBA and basketball history.

Well, he only missed a FT. Still perfect from the floor. So he can play at least another game.
