Well, he only missed a FT. Still perfect from the floor. So he can play at least another game.

70 first half points.  I'm no expert, but I bet the odds are against you winning if you give up 70 first half points.

Everybody said that if LeBron ever picked up a post-up game, it would be all over.

Then he got lessons from Hakeem...

Yeah, now LeBron's the complete package.  Truly unplayable.

So was Wade fined for his Game 3 flop?  No?  Oh...

Doogled: So was Wade fined for his Game 3 flop?  No?  Oh...

Crazy how the flop rules never go after superstars like Wade, LeBron, Manu, Paul, Harden, etc. The day Stern retires will probably be one of the most celebrated days in NBA and basketball history.

NFL fans used to say that about Tagliabue

Surprised this got greened before a game 7 Honkey thread. Looking Forward to both games. Gonna wear out the last channel button on my remote tonight.

Did they have as much to complain about?

I was disappointed in the Pacers in game 3. But the Heat played lights out.

No, not quite as much. But he was the one that started the whole "no fun league".

Bigger issue is that the new guy will want to put his personal stamp on the league, meaning he will swing either greatly enhance the current policies, or go much more lax. Since the successor is hand-picked by Stern, it's likely the new league will become more like Stern's vision, but on steroids.

It's confirmed it will be Adam Silver (current deputy commissioner). You're probably right but I'll enjoy the idea of Stern living for now..

I loved the Kemp/Payton era Sonics as a kid and whole situation pissed me off, so I can't imagine how you guys felt and feel. I'm also a Mavericks fan, so we're probably one of the top 5 Stern hating NBA fanbases. Then again, he's pissed off a lot of fanbases in his career.

That's the start I expected in Game 3. Lets hope they keep it up. I thought Hill pressing the ball handled was a good idea but he will wear out

Good job, Chalmers, brick the long 3, then watch your brick and don't bother covering the guy that ran out at you.

This is after taking out Haslem.

Last time you were calling out Super Mario he ended up finishing out the game well with pretty decent numbers. Never question the Chalmers.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and predict if the Heat shoot 0% and the Pacers shoot 100%, Indiana's gonna be pretty happy.

/Booing because Indiana should be allowed to hit LeBron as many times as possible!
//realistically, George fouled him before the first putback attempt

So I guess once the Heat realized they aren't going to be punished for flopping and LeBron can actually recommend it without penalty, they are just going to dial it up to 11 tonight. Honestly, someone needs to go for the ejection, knock LBJ or Wade in the mouth and yell "NOW THAT IS A FARKING FOUL"

I pray for that to happen all the time, not so much to Bron bron but if someone would pop Wade at least once I'll be happy. Especially after his cheapshot he did the other day.

You're aware that the Pacers fouled LeBron three times on that play, right?

Oh, because someone fell awkwardly, they're flopping. I'll pull your arm from behind while you're in the air and we'll see if you stay upright, okay?

Wizards did that to the Cavs like ~5 years back.  Their argument was "well, we're going to get called for it anyways, so we're just going to hit them hard each time they go down the lane."  I think the Wiz lasted longer than they should have.

Honestly, Wade is the one who deserves it most this side of Manu; LBJ though was rarer with it until he started playing more and more with Wade. His comments today somewhat ring true because he's added it to his game like elite players working on their low-post game

Not even close to the same thing.  The Bulls stopped fast breaks by wrapping their arms around people.  The Wiz were out for blood.

Well, it was the same in that they were intentionally going for fouls on half of all plays, knowing that they wouldn't get called on all of 'em.

/the Wiz were scrubs, too
//sorry, but thugball should not be a viable way to "last longer" in the playoffs

Chalmers redeems himself by saving that horrible play by Allen.

Neither should flopball, but it's a way to get away with having Battier as a 4.

On the other side, who could really blame him. Based on the league's opinion, there's been only 4 flops all playoffs. If what he, Wade, and Manu do isn't flopping and it gets him one step closer to the title, he's been doing his job as an elite player.

2013-05-28 08:54:37 PM
Nice try on that flop, George. Might've worked in Games 1 and 2, but not here.

2013-05-28 08:54:56 PM
Why does Haslem have a mouthpiece if he never really has it fully in his mouth?
