I've stated all playoffs that the Spurs are the only ones who could beat Miami and that's if this is Pop and Duncan's all-in last ride. Even then, they'll be lucky to win in 6 and most likely Heat still dominate.

The Spurs need to make one big move...there is but one man who can stop LeBron James. He's LeBron's kyrptonite.

First he did LBJ's mom
Then he did his baby mama.
Maybe now, he could dryhump LBJ all game.

Would love a spurs heat final, spurs pacers would be great too but me and only a handful of non locals would probably watch it and the nba would shiat itself

So, if the Spurs get it done...can we start talking about the all-time greatness of Tim Duncan? Or is he still too boring...

Spurs are too old, and their brand of basketball can't compete with the modern pick-and-roll game.

Joey Crawford wouldn't have called that on Conley.

Randolph gets an incredible amount of calls for all the contact he generates him and david west

if they made it no blood no foul

We're watching one of the last runs for one of the great trios in NBA history.  Just want to mention that with that wicked between-the-legs pass by Ginobili.

Since they're flying home tonight, I just wanted to tell the Memphis Grizzlies that the fine bait and tackle establishments in the Memphis area are sure to open early.

Because San Antonio owning the better regular season mark over the Pacers and having the season sweep was not enough of a clue.

Randolph holds and pushes on almost every play, how do they determine which they call him for fouls on is beyond me,

Sports guy has a very good writeup on him in the Book of Basketball; if they make the finals and lose, he probably stays where he is, maybe moves one spot for another good year. If he wins, beats up LBJ's team (as he is older and LBJ is in his absolute prime) and then rides off into the sunset, he moves up some more. Mind you, it is hard when you are considered possibly the best PF of all-time so now it just becomes what number overall.

Moves up some what?  Moves down on what?

Besides, Duncan nothing, with Parker-Ginobili-Duncan we are looking at one of the very top trios in NBA history, maybe among top 3.

I don't think there's anybody that says he isn't any good. He's measured, and precise, and fundamentally sound. But watchable? Oh, hahaha no

I remember being at a Sacramento Kings' game in about 2003, when the Kings were really good. And I remember watching the Kings and thinking "I hope they don't see these guys in the Playoffs, because the Kings can't beat 'em."

And those guys were Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobli.

2013-05-27 10:47:57 PM
Nice flop by the Grizzlies there.

I gotta say, they may be the oldest team in the playoffs, but damn if I can tell by watching them.

if you are an amphibious player like Mike Conley, I just wonder if there is even a millisecond of delay in the brain of which hand to shoot with

Wow, that was an absurd foul call given the hold on the last drive down court on the rebound attempt.

Well, Parker is in his prime, and he's the most active player in a literal sense.  Manu and Duncan are the only guys who are really old, but their minutes are managed to an extreme.  The rest, with the exception of Diaw, are really pretty young.  They've done a fantastic job of getting young, talented role players (Green, Leonard, Splitter, Joseph) they've developed very well.
