I know, as has been pointed out before it's a big deal that she qualifies to drive in NASCAR and qualified to drive in Indy racing, but for a person who's just won a single race in all of the starts she's had she sure has a lot of attitude. And I'd be pissed too if I was in a wreck like hers but she's testy a lot.

At least she didn't crash backing out of her driveway on her way to the race like last time.

It's time to face the fact that she's just not very good. Struggles to stay ahead of the start and parkers.

Let's compare Danica's career so far with Legendary NASCAR driver Dick Trickle

Dick Trickle: Zero NASCAR wins
finished in top 5 in 4.9% of his starts
finished top 10 in 11.8% of his starts
                   Average finish of 24.2 place

Danica: Zero NASCAR wins (Both Nationwide/Sprint)
finished in top 5 in 1.2% of her starts
finished in top 10 in 9.7% of her starts
Average finish of 27.3 place (Sprint only)

I don't think she has any business biatching about other drivers, and probably should go back to the Soapbox league to work on her game.

So because she is a woman she can't be a whiner? There are male drivers who have that rep. Kyle Busch being one of them.

Until she starts winning she should probably tone it down. Hell, forget winning, place in the top ten or fifteen consistently.

To be fair, all of Stewart-Haas has had trouble keeping up with the lead pack this year. Attrition is the main reason Newman and Stewart finished in the top-10 yesterday. As for the attitude, girl is under tremendous pressure to perform. If she's any other ROTY candidate she's allowed mistakes and poor finishes. This wreck was in no way her fault, she didn't take them 3 wide and she didn't push up on her own, yet because she was involved it's more fuel for the "she has no talent" crowd. Any other rookie gets sympathy. Hell, the following 3 wide wreck by veterans got barely a mention. There were drivers stomping after that one too.

While I agree with you to a point about the media machine that surrounds her she could use the microphone to paint a more positive picture. Stomping off after a bad race just looks kinda childish. At least get up there smile, thank your sponsors and give a couple of stock answers.

Oh and the hype and attention is partially of her own creation. She models in go daddy ads and maxim ffs.

Also all of the start and parkers do it for the love of the sport and are not pissed that a women is getting major backing.  if  you look at the standings they all have made a nice bit of change:

Well it is easy to find the Danicapologists in this crowd.

I would far prefer she do like Kyle Busch did yesterday. He had a far better race car and therefore lost far more than she did in this race and yet he made the time to have an interview and thank his sponsors for what was an extremely frustrating day. Danica has tons to learn from someone like KyBu, in both talent and in how to deal with the media - and he is considered by many to be a whiner (don't know why myself - I never see him "whining").

Kyle is one of my favorite drivers for his talent. He does stuff with a racecar no one else even can. Yes he is over-aggressive sometimes, but I will take that and all of his victories over some chick who can barely stay ahead of the start-and-parkers when she has vastly superior equipment from driving for one of the monied teams.

So everyone that thinks Michael Bay movies are shiat should shut up because they can't helm a major movie?

If memory serves me correctly she has won an Indycar race and finished in the top 5 at Daytona this year right?  It seems like while she may be overhyped she does have talent...

She's not talentless.  Anybody that can complete, much less place in a NASCAR event must have some modicum of talent.  However, the question always is if she would even have a ride if she was Dan Patrick, and not Danica.  You look at the others hovering in the 30 range after 12 starts and I would guess (if they don't have some kind of track record) they might be a little concerned about keeping their ride.

//I don't know if you could Dan away from his radio show.

That both is and isn't the issue. I don't think you'd find anyone denying she wouldn't get the opportunities she gets if she were a dude.. not even Danica herself. The problem is a bunch of people like to go out of their way to invent/exaggerate her faults for whatever reason.

Is she being "unfairly" promoted? Maybe. She is clearly better than your Scott Speeds or your Travis Kvapils, though.

The Bestest: Is she being "unfairly" promoted? Maybe. She is clearly better than your Scott Speeds or your Travis Kvapils, though.

Go to a Walmart (okay Walmart is a bad example), but go any where out in public.  Ask people up to four questions:

1.  Do you follow the NBA?
2.  Do you follow NASCAR?

When you find someone that says no to either, ask one (or both depending on the first answer) these follow up questions:

3. Name an NBA player
4. Name a NASCAR driver

The NBA question is going to yield Kobe, LeBron, Jordan, maybe Bird/Magic depending on age.
The NASCAR question is going to yield Danica first, then maybe Jr.

That right there shows she is WAY over promoted.

If I was a NASCAR driver I would have an issue with her and it would have nothing to do with her gender.  If I was Aric Almirola I would hate her.  I have 50% more points then here, but how often does my name show up on SportsCenter or in a headline?  She crashes, it's a headline.  She DNF, headline.  She wins...the world would explode.

If she had a great attitude about the whole thing it would at least give her something that would make her more likeable, but by most accounts she is a biatch on wheels to other drivers and to fans.
