I had no idea about this game, so I looked it up...

...DUH. It's just a social collaboration to tap away a bunch of cubes, and this guy was lucky enough to be the one who tapped the last remaining cube. A slug literally could have won if it fell on your touchscreen at the right time.

A couple of weeks ago, Peter Molyneux lopped off quite a few levels of the cube.  All I can think of at this point, now that the "secret" is a job helping develop his next game is his thought was more along the lines of "Hurry up, you cretins!  You're not working fast enough and holding back the development cycle!  We're going to be crucified if we miss our target date and it will be *all your fault*!"

The correct term is "scapegoat". Molyneux finally realized that the best way to avoid taking flak for constantly failing to deliver on his promises is to shift the blame onto someone else.
