How does an unemployed dishwasher who owes back child support hire an IP attorney?

I  surmise he's an unemployed dishwasher from what his boss said about naming the Ramsey burger "at a time he indicated he would be returning to his job."

Why does this guy get the attention?  It was another guy who actually rescued them, no?

Ramsey says he never gave the restaurants permission to use him name on promotional products

The restaurant where Ramsey worked as a dishwasher initially created a special burger named his honor, called the Ramsey Burger.

WFT, Daily Fail.

Good for him, for realizing why the burger places were doing this.

Well, it didn't take long for this situation to turn scummy.

Because Ramsey gave several very colorful, lively, and entertaining interviews, a few of which went viral and inspired many remixes, edits, and songs, while the other guy has the charisma of a petrified turd and has to use a translator to communicate.

I get it. He did a great thing. But I think this media attention on him is pretty much out of control.

With that being said, I love how he's not asking for anything in return and straight up said that people should help the victims. The fact that one of them used to work at Burger King is the thing I actually thought was the most amusing thing -- if you can call it that.

Oh well, good for him. And good on McDonalds for putting a location there. Otherwise it could have been a Dairy Queen or something.

His really heroic feat is that he is taking away the media attention from these poor girls who now have time and peace to reconnect with their families.

What he said was that it was him and the other guy that kicked the door open.

Excellent. The "him name" thing was on the tip of my brain, I was trying to think of where I saw it before. Thank you. Hopkin Green Frog, wasn't it?

I'm just surprised that with so many more "creative" options, people still buy the Big Mac.

BarkingUnicorn: How does an unemployed dishwasher who owes back child support hire an IP attorney?

The same way he suddenly gets tens of offers from restaurants for eating for free.  In exchange for free publicity, of course.

BarkingUnicorn: I surmise he's an unemployed dishwasher from what his boss said about naming the Ramsey burger "at a time he indicated he would be returning to his job."

That, or the restaurant owner is a cynical bastard who is trying to profit out of this guy's name.

Yeah, if corporations wish to sell a product which is endorsed by someone, they need permission from them.

calbert: it turned scummy the instant he thrust himself in front of the cameras claiming that he was the rescuer.

Wasn't he?  I mean, Angel Cordero responded to the screaming, but he and Charles Ramsey did busted the door down to get the kids out of the house.

From your comments it sounds like you believe he had absolutely nothing to do with the rescuing.  That's a petty thing to do.

2013-05-26 05:40:21 PM
Why would a restaurant profit from having a burger named after him?
I would feel compelled to go to a particular eatery because they have something called a Ramsey Burger?
Who the fark cares?
I really am trying to understand the logic.

Did I say he was, or that I wanted him to be?  As I understand it, he's Latino.  What does that have to do with the price of ben-wa balls in Hong Kong?

So I can neglect my kids as long as I'm trying to help others?

would those restaurants have had a problem if he had gotten the stupid idea of gathering 4 or 5 homeless kids, every time he went for his free burgers, and gave them all a meal for the day... for freeeeeeeee...

2013-05-27 08:16:59 AM
It's unclear whether Ramsey will be accepting free burgers.

Um, no it's not, daily fail. He clearly said he doesn't want them. Jesus!
