The vast majority of people that call themselves geeks are actually nerds.  I've never heard of this made up holiday, but it makes me think of all the amateur drinkers and self-proclaimed Irish people that show up on St. Padraig's Day.

I watched TNG's Encounter at Farpoint on Hulu since they have the remasters now for at least season 1. Haven't actually sat down to watch that that one since I saw it on TV back in '87.

I spent mine ordering this to replace the 5.25 bays in my existing case:

I also kicked off a volume consistency check while placing the order.  I'll continue the celebration later this week by installing the expansion module, throwing 5 more 3Tb drives in it and converting my RAID-5 setup to a RAID-6 setup.

I'm not a hockey fan but I still laughed at the joke. I acknowledged my spelling goof. That being said quit using the "nerd blackface" when discussing TBBT. That's a stupid term.

The directors cut of 1 (not, under any circumstances, the original cut, which I don't think is even available anymore, Christ what a bad movie), and 5 were entertaining, if not good.

And a lot of people like 3. Those people are wrong.

The Next Gen movies are great if you pretend they are episodes of the series. And never watch Nemesis. There is no Nemesis, in fact.

Actually, the Director's Cut of TMP is only available on the special edition DVD released in 2002.

When they redid the effects for the 2002 SE DVD, they short-sightedly didn't create them in HD. So, when the bluray was released, they went back to the original theatrical cut.

First Contact was cool. It was an actual "movie" whereas the other films were two hour episodes with much better special effects. IMO though, the WORST Next Gen movie was "Insurrection." I hated that movie so much I have not seen it since I first saw it in the theater. And the problem I had with Nemesis was that I had no idea why Picard got so freaked out when we first saw Shinzon. I had no idea he was supposed to be a clone. Very lame.

Phoenix Comicon, biatches!

Met Jewel Staite (she is so adorable),  John Barrowman (God, he's short), almost knocked over Grant Imahara walking through the vendor's hall (even shorter than Barrowman), and saw Wil Wheaton (spicy dick milk)

Great geek weekend.

You kidding? Can anyone resist seeing Linda's hard nipples in the mental institute and getting teased with such gems as "come with me if you want to live", "I'll be back", and "John, it was stupid of you to go there"?
