Yet, he still lives wherever that is, doing whatever it is he's doing there.

The video is so crappy that he could be typing

Hmmm.  Wonder how fast those infinite monkeys type?

He is merely doing multiple chat support lines, playing "Bob", "Doreen", "Chris" and Smith".

Looks like he's just filling in forms. Give him something to retype as opposed to just running through a sequence over and over. I've gone almost that quick through computer forms that are mostly the same thing everytime. You just get into the habit of running through the sequence.

Nah he's got nothing on one of my HS friend's mom.  Remember begin over at his house, she is talking to people and still typing so fast the Selectric sounds like a Gatling gun firing.

Yeah, when doing data entry it becomes muscle memory. But even after doing the same forms for a couple years back in the 90s, I don't think I got as fast as this guy.

Item 1:  the majority of those keystrokes were him hitting the arrow keys over and over

Item 2:  as noted by others upthread, when you're used to typing data into a particular form, you can go blazing fast.  I'm known as one of the slowest typists where I work, until someone hands me handwritten, cryptographic notes to transcribe into a particular memo program.  Then I start machine-gunning away, and people start looking over a me like there's a warzone on my keyboard.

Comments sound like the same tripe offered whenever someone shows a video of a kid shredding on a guitar.

"Impressive typing to be sure.
When he starts writing it himself then I'll be truly impressed and will read just as intently.
Until then I'll read the classics."

"Yes, but can he write Eruption by Harry Turtledove?"

Of course you can go faster if you didn't have Mavis Beacon yelling at you for getting it wrong during formative years..

Yes, but how many times did he have to resort to backspace?

When I was in journalism school, there was a girl on staff at our newspaper who could type like that. Her fingers were literally a blur when you watched her type. She said when she'd been tested several years before she was typing at 120wpm, and "I'm a much better typist than I used to be."

Impressive.  The best I ever did was approaching 90wpm.  These days I'm much slower since I rarely do straight text typing.  Perl and bash scripts are my thing, now.  You don't type regular expressions at top speed.

Yes.  Nobody types.  They use touchpads.  Also, nobody yells anymore.  It's very quiet.
