Do the Pacers plan to play defense at the end this time?

It was nice to see Miami finally play against a playoff caliber opponent though.

go Heat!

I wonder if the NBA fans, both of them, can get this thread to out do the hockey thread tonight?

What, now we need to do it every single time, and actually have the posts be related to the actual game instead of 2/3 of it being filler?

I hope this comes down to a final possession and Vogel puts Hibbert out there and the Heat give it to Bosh for the game-winning 12-footer and Vogel goes to the press conference and flips a table and yells, "I told you farkers!"

God that would be hilarious.

I dunno, an unguarded layup was a lot more aesthetically pleasing.

Will both conference finals be sweeps?

Lost Thought 00: Will both conference finals be sweeps?

i dont really care so long as they are close games, id prefer a close sweep than one team or the other not showing up in a longer series.

no one should lose by 20 in the playoffs

I believe it did the other night. I always root for the same thing and am really surprised that there are so many Hockey fans here.  I wonder how many member are from Canada and other cold weather countries?

Don't get me wrong I love going to hockey games and the NHL postseason is awesome, but I would rather watch the NBA even though I really don't like the either team.

Go 76ers!

Shaq just said, "The question is no."

And I believe him.

I'd say 60% of posts in the hockey threads are just Bruins fans posting Bruins pictures.

Anyways, Miami picked up two additional cheap shots last game with Battier (Irving, you're the only hope for likable former Duke players) and Cole.  At what point can Miami Heat players stop complaining about the way other teams foul them when 50% of their active roster has taken a cheap shot at someone in the last 2-3 years?

I don't think Battier really aimed...he just had to kick out because it's not like he can finish at the rim. That's the only way he could ward off Hibbert.

/as for Cole, I'm surprised more dudes don't get racked as they keep pushing guards outside by spreading their legs and inching out
//West is the guy I'd least be willing to attack, however

I just wish they had better refs working the games, game 1 was imho just awful, between bad and missed calls going both ways made any sort of offensive rhythm for either team impossible.

Hoping for another good game.

Battier wasn't aiming for the nuts but he was aiming to knee Hibbert in a vulnerable shot (anywhere in the midsection) for challenging his shot.  So, it's still a cheap shot from one of the NBA's "good" guys.

He's the best.

Meh, frankly he should've just kept his damn foot down and run Hibbert over, since Hibbert was still under the rim and would've been called for a foul.

/BTW, like that LeBron made the floater over Hibbert for the first bucket, as if to point out that "guess what? I would've just scored anyway" to all the people second-guessing Vogel

Goddammit, I swear West doesn't ever f*cking miss.

2013-05-24 08:40:49 PM
And that is why I was hoping Chalmers would be injured for the series. He's genuinely worse than Norris Cole at this point on both ends of the floor. He consistently makes moronic plays.

Super Mario is back, Heat are going to sweep the series.  No question.

Looks to be another close one.

i dont like the ball movement by either team at this point, there seems to be no communication so a lot of passes out of bounds.

2013-05-24 08:49:24 PM
Ok. What did I miss?

ok maybe just the heat

pacers shoot the lights out, heat are turnover machines and about 3 posts?

Wade falling around like the little biatch he is, James being good, and the Pacers being focused.

2013-05-24 08:52:54 PM
Sorry guys, Heat win since I'm leaving the thread - forgot my presence in game threads is a jinx.

/I predict they don't shoot 88% for the whole game and continue to have all the fouls called on Miami

battier looking awful out there

because none of that is a result of the Pacers playing more aggressive and better. annnnd a 24 violation

That Lebron James guy is a decent basketball player.

Well, since they only call fouls on Miami when the Pacers play them it is clear that the fix is in. David Stern want Tyler Hansborough in the Finals

2013-05-24 08:58:03 PM
why not just let hibbs post up every play... i dont think the heat can stop him... well after he gets 2 or 3 put back attempts

2013-05-24 08:59:32 PM
didnt that look like steps by bosh under the basket?

2013-05-24 08:59:40 PM

nice first quarter turned in by the pacers in the first quarter... way to get up after what could easily have been a soul crushing game 1 loss 28-22 pacecars

This is a much more interesting game than the Sens/Pens "game" right now.

You're aware that the only reason Miami didn't forfeit the series is because of Chalmers, right?

2013-05-24 09:07:08 PM
Young has a long way to go to get a Mohawk like the Birdman

2013-05-24 09:08:22 PM
Hibbert just looks at them funny, and they can't hit in the lane.

2013-05-24 09:08:44 PM
How is it a blocking foul when he leads with a punch?
