That's a bit counter intuitive.

Yea that's it. Has nothing to do with thier shiatty policies and his horrible quotes

"In every school there are the cool and popular kids, and then there are the not-so-cool kids," he says. "Candidly, we go after the cool kids. We go after the attractive all-American kid with a great attitude and a lot of friends. A lot of people don't belong [in our clothes], and they can't belong. Are we exclusionary? Absolutely. Those companies that are in trouble are trying to target everybody: young, old, fat, skinny. But then you become totally vanilla. You don't alienate anybody, but you don't excite anybody, either."

They've got these bleeding heart groups now sitting in executive meetings?? Do these people understand it's a business? And it's a harsh world? F*cking get over it.

This world has gotten way too over-sensitive and politically correct. There are good looking people, and ugly people. No, not everyone is beautiful. Sure as a human being yes. But on a purely physical level, no. It's just reality. Life is unfair. Not everyone gets to look like Scarlet Johansson or Christian Bale. F*ck sakes, get over it.

People want to be, and be around, good looking people. It's not rocket science, it's just natural human behaviour. "Sex sells" is so old it's not even a cliche anymore. You don't sell a sexy image with not-good-looking people.

Jump down my throat over this, I don't care. It's fact, not my opinion.

It's kind of funny that his own poor self esteem led him to destroy what was probably a decent enough face and he can't empathize with folks who have poor self esteem. Probably a severe case of denial.

That said, the company appeals to a niche market, don't like it, don't shop there. It's a bunch of overpriced, sweatshop made garbage anyway.

I swear I'm not old enough to be talking like this, but its as if everyone has forgotten about being polite to one another.  The type of statements that guy made are unacceptable directed toward anyone, not just fat/ugly/poor.  The fact that so many people believe that it is ok not only for someone to act like that, but also for it to the position of an entire company is appalling.

It's not about fat vs. skinny.  It's about being an asshole.  Sure, there are tons of them out there.  It's just so rare that one is actually dumb enough to risk their stock price on their douchebaggery.   This one did and it's costing him.  Now we all get to point and laugh while A&F tries to figure out how to stuff the cat back in the bag.

Exactly. I'm not sure what the outrage is about. Is it because they came right out and actually said it? Lots of companies don't sell plus size clothing. No one's protesting them. Seems odd.
