I remember when the Three Men and a Baby story came out. I taped it off one of the movie channels (even grainier), and it was so much fun showing it to gullible people. Once at a party where everyone was already half in the bag, one girl actually screamed.

The pic where Brando has a dick on his lips is real.

PopMatters must really respect the intelligence and perceptive acuity of their readers.

I'm surprised nobody's posted Ted Danson in blackface yet.  You farkers are slipping.

The three men and a baby thing did the rounds in the days of VHS. We were round an aunt's house and they were constantly rewinding the same thing over and over again, pointing at the screen and swearing blind the 'boy' was moving. I'd already seen the movie months before (think I actually went to the flicks to watch it) and gently pointed out what it actually was. I was pretty much shouted down until they finally stopped knackering up the tape and watched the rest of the movie. When the later scene showing the cardboard cut-out in its full glory came up, there was a subdued 'oh' from the assembled masses.

'Course, these days, we've got snopes.

Yeah, I remember being in a Waldenbooks store that also sold VHS tapes back in the late 80s. They happened to be playing this movie on the monitors and it happened to be on that scene. A few of the customers there were staring at the screen and of course some shrieked and pointed at the standee. And here I am, small fourteen year old boy, laughing at them. I informed them that the rumor is false mainly by the fact that they filmed in a studio, not a real apartment. They asked me what made me so sure and I replied that I read an interview with Nimoy and he was talking about the set they built. But of course what do I, a mere skinny fourteen year old wearing a Star Trek comm badge on his jacket, know about movies and stuff?

Legend has it that the apartment this movie was filmed in was the scene of a grizzly suicide by rifle

Must have been hard for the bear to work that trigger, what with it lacking opposable thumbs and all.

/homophones are like, hard
