Killer Cars: Guys, stop. Seriously. Outside of the canned laughter sitcom crap that still exists on the broadcast networks, the overall quality of television shows over the last few years has vastly improved. Because Hollywood sucks, there's a metric crapload of talented writers more than skilled and worthy enough of creating content for the silver screen who are disillusioned with the business behind cinema and turning to networks desperate for new programming to fill their vacant time slots.

I'd much rather let someone just create something from scratch, because of late, the new stuff coming out is generally more than worthwhile.

/I'll make an exception for AD...

I could not disagree more.

Another vote for The Tick, doesn't matter what version. Even though I loved Party Down, I think a movie may be a better way to go based on how the series ended. Since no one has mentioned it, would anyone else watch a reboot of The Critic?

Torqueknot: Bring back Stargate you farkers.

seriously. SGU got canned right when it got good!
at least Atlantis was given a few seasons.

They should bring back that show that starred William Shatner, the one that was set in another century. What was it called?

Oh yeah, Barbary Coast. Use plots from the book of the same name.

The Prisoner would be surreal/cool..

They did it as a mini series a few years back. Want to guess why you never heard about it, or did but suppressed the memory?

Shiat, I thought I was the only person who remembered that show. What did it last 3, maybe 4 episodes?

I'm sure it's already been said (not reading 158 comments to check), but man that list started out great and then went to shiat.

rugman11: One day, one of these comebacks is going to fail miserably (I'm looking at you Veronica Mars) and we're all going to sit down and say, "maybe this whole 'resurrecting a show after it's been off the air for a decade' thing isn't such a good idea."

They already did with X-Files.  No one learned a damned thing.

Now that's comedy!

Article had 10 chances to say Rubicon but didn't so that article sucks.
That said, Everwood would be neat - comically if Emily VanCamp retains her Revenge character.

/think upcoming third season will be last unless ABC can get Mike Kelley to return

GW:The Wire

Never gonna happen. Simon has said many times that even the fifth/final season was stretching it in terms of what's left to tell. It ended the way it should have and it's best to keep it that way.

Oh, add Breaking In to my list...but only if they kick out Megan Mullaly and bring back Michael Rosenbaum. I like Megan, but she wasn't a good fit, and Rosenbaum was the best part of the show next to the nerdy tech guy.

escherblacksmith: Dungeons and Dragons . . . yeah, I want to see them go home dammit.

They actually wrote the script for the final episode, which resolved everything, but the show was canned before the episode went into production. A quick check on Google will locate you a copy of the completed script, if you're curious as to how it ended (or was going to end).

JenFromTheWood: Greatest American Hero.

They tried making a spin-off, called "The Greatest American Heroine", but it wasn't picked up and the pilot was aired as a TV movie instead. Quick synopsis: It takes place a few years after the end of the series. Ralph ends up blowing his cover (why he never wore a mask, i'll never understand), and the aliens that made the suit decide to give the suit to pre-school teacher.

I've heard rumors of a remake of GAH, but i'd rather if they continued from the point where the lady inherited the suit from Ralph, maybe even keep him as her mentor since he's had so much experience with the suit and its powers.

redmid17: ZeroCorpse: The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. (Or maybe The Adventures of Brisco County III, instead.)
Sliders (pick up with the real prof. Arturo who was left on another world)
and
Better Off Ted

Wow totally forgot about Brisco County Jr and Sliders. Seconded.

Never really watched Brisco (it aired before I was aware of the awesome that is Bruce Cambell), but so much yes to Sliders....with a few exceptions:

Everything after season two never happened. Arturo, Wade, Quinn, and Remy are all alive and well. No "brother", no "merged alternate", no Kari "30-day PMS" Wurher, no Kromaggs. Tracy Torme is the main showrunner again, with full control of story and budget. Back to the "what if" concept, no more cannibalizing stuff from other sci-fi shows. Bring back Logan St. Clair as a recurring villain, and pretend that Roger Daltery eating Arturo's brains never happened.

Hell, now that i'm mentioning sci-fi shows starring Jerry O'Connell, I'd love a continuation of "My Secret Identity". It's been 25 years since it first aired, so make the new series about him raising his kid(s) that developed his powers after puberty.

I spent many a late night watching The Tick and The Critic reruns on Comedy Central - seeing new episodes of both those shows would be awesome. I thought the live action Tick was OK, but I much prefer the animated version.

Party Down is the correct answer. Anything else I can think of has had way too much time passed to really be worthwhile.

Yeah, but the live action version would allow we 30-40+-year-old adolescents to drool over Captain Liberty's (lack of) costume.  (Or Batmanuel's if you prefer.  Or Mothman's.  Whatever.)

/ As long as Patrick Warburton does the voice for the animated Tick, I'm okay with it.

Sabrina Lloyd was far hotter than Kari Whurherrrerr.

I'd have turned Kari down (don't like whiny, nasal-sounding girls). I'd have followed Sabrina around like a puppy.

/Also not too fond of plastic boobs, so Kari's right out.

FuryOfFirestorm: Never really watched Brisco (it aired before I was aware of the awesome that is Bruce Cambell), but so much yes to Sliders....with a few exceptions:

The entire series (one long season) of Brisco is on DVD. It's well worth watching if you get a chance. Everybody thinks Firefly was so original to combine the old west and scifi, but Brisco did it first, and it did it better. Bruce Campbell beats Nathan Fillian every time. Kelly Rutherford was hotter than anyone on Firefly, too.

You need to know why it's so important not to touch Pete's piece. You need to see how a painter can stop a train. You need to witness true villainy in the form of John Bly.

I highly encourage people who haven't seen Brisco to go watch it NOW.

You're probably thinking of TekWar. It was originally a series of Sci-Fi novels "written" by Shatner, which then got a comic series, and then a handful of TV movies. This eventually led to a short-lived TV series on USA Network in the mid 90's. I liked the books and the TV movies, but never read the comic or watched the TV show.

Netflix should concentrate on new shows.

Instead of crap failed shows that already failed for a reason.

Tom_Slick: justneal: just finished all 8 season of weeds, would never have watched it without Netflix, that show is so wrong

I gave up on that show about the time of the drug kingpin baby,  before that it was a great show, but the best episodes were before they left Agrestic.

It ended like it should have, probably.  The last season was pretty good as a quick watch-through.
