Snapper Carr: Crewmannumber6: Pushing farking Daisies.

Fuller's doing just fine with Hannibal right now. Besides, everything was more or less resolved so they'd have to completely retool it to make it interesting.

Doesn't mean I don't want more.

Dow Jones and the Temple of Doom: Southland. That is all.

Agreed!  That would probably be the easiest show to bring back on the air.  Just film in everyday Los Angeles, no special backdrops or expensive soundstages or anything.  Keep the cast small, no large ensemble.  Quality writing, like House of Cards.

Southland's biggest failure was that it could not expand beyond its core audience by streaming past episodes online through Netflix, Hulu, or On Demand.  I was watching it on NBC, but I didn't know it moved to TNT and lost track of several episodes, then refused to watch any new ones until I had a low-cost way of catching up on the missing episodes first.

TNT killed the show by not doing any kind of online distribution.  Netflix can easily revive it.

I'd like to see at least some wrap up for My Name is Earl. Also I know it was a decade ago, but I miss Grounded for Life.

I'd like to see how far Wolf Lake could push the boundaries.

Otherwise, I don't watch a lot of TV shows and have no further opinion.

Dog Welder * * Smartest * Funniest 2013-05-24 01:56:15 PM Losac: List fails without Deadwood, cocksuckers. [nyoobserver.files.wordpress.com image 700x486] While I'd love to see it happen, I'm afraid too many of the stars have moved on to other shows. I don't think you're going to pry Olyphant away from Justified at this point. (And if you are a Deadwood fan and haven't seen Justified yet, well, then...what the hell is wrong with you?)
======================================================

They've almost all moved on to other shows. And like half of them are either on or have been on Sons of Anarchy and Justified. (Lost too, for that matter).

There's just SO MANY stars... even if you could get them all to agree to come back... the date would have to be like 10 years from now before they'd all be free at the same time.

Tom_Slick: justneal: just finished all 8 season of weeds, would never have watched it without Netflix, that show is so wrong

I gave up on that show about the time of the drug kingpin baby,  before that it was a great show, but the best episodes were before they left Agrestic.

Agreed.  After they left Agrestic, the show went all kinds of wrong.  Mary-Louise Parker's character became incredibly annoying and self-absorbed, acted like she had all the answers but yet was making incredibly bad and selfish decisions that were putting her family in constant peril.  It had its moments in later seasons, but never really returned to form and I ultimately felt dumber having watched the whole thing.

Dead Like Me reboot as long as they retain Ellen Muth and bring back Mandy Patinkin.  Don't care who else comes back as reapers.

2013-05-24 04:38:15 PM
biggest problem is I would want some of the shows to be restarted, but a year earlier (or multiple . . . )

but . . .

Earth2 (only with Clancy Brown)
Dungeons and Dragons . . . yeah, I want to see them go home dammit.
Twilight Zone . . . in black and white . . . narrated by a digitally recreated Rod Serling
Land of the Giants . . . because, that's why!

I think it would be fun to watch old episodes of 60 minutes.  What was a pressing issue this week in 1983?  I know I could look that up, but I want to be told about it from the perspective of people who didn't know how it would end up, and I want to hear the analog stopwatch.

The Tick.  Possibly rebooted, but Warburton would cool too.
Dresden Files.
Wonderfalls.
Better Off Ted was great, but the second season was inferior to the first, and it was beginning to lose its magic.
A sixth season for Angel would be cool, but prior to the apocalypse, while they are still at Wolfram & Hart.  Season five rocked!
Something *like* Dollhouse, without actually *being* Dollhouse.  Call it a reboot.

Chainsaw Turd Elf: Get a Life with Chris what's-his -name fromCabin Boy

The show itself was amusing, but my god I can not STAND that weasel.

As for the list, I have not seen a single show on it.

Tom_Slick: drkokintz: Quantum Leap

That show just needs to be rebooted.  30 years later someone tries to replicate Sam's experiment and leaps, Get Jim Belushi to play the part of Al, and have it star the guy from Chuck.

And keep it the hell away from Subway. The last season of Chuck was one long, extremely embarrassing advertisement.

Fantastic show. Ridiculous budget.

texdent: Adventures of Brisco County Jr
Reaper
Joan of Arcadia
Chuck
Jake 2.0
Wolverine and the X-Men

No... just no on those two. I was a big fan, but those suffered the opposite fate- they were near cancellation and revived so often that they lost the magic and ran too long.

/Another vote for Party Down.

Vengeance Unlimited, people.

And with Michael Madsen a genuine bad boy, his persona is that much more believable as a semi-secret vigilante.

While impossible for this to happen, I wish that the television show Way Out would have lasted longer. It was hosted by Roald Dahl and could be compared to the darker episodes of The Twilight Zone, but approached with slightly misanthropic black humor. There are a few episodes on YouTube:

Death Wish
Dissolve to Black
I Heard You Calling Me
The Croaker
William and Mary (Part 1) (Part 2)

2013-05-24 08:19:48 PM
The Wedding Band.

Yes, I'm serious. It was funny and well-written, so naturally TBS didn't give it a chance.
