I heard that Brian Kelly was docked a paycheck after he killed that kid. It must have been a rough time for him.

Step 1:  Coach ND to winning record in first few seasons.
Step 2:  Return to Greatness!
Step 3:  You're fired.

Charlie Weis was paid NOT to coach Notre Dame.  And I doubt anybody in their fanbase was upset about it.

It's okay - he wins games in Big Time College Football, so ND fans can overlook that one time he killed a kid.

Eh, no more than any other business.  The 85 employees are basically part-time, seasonal employees and make around $15,000 plus get to go to a great university for free.  Plus, they get some other little perks here and there.  Honestly, it beats working at Subway.

In other news, Charlie Weis did not actually coach at Kansas either.

Credit to his agent.  The guy worked a great deal for Charlie.  Put out some rumours that the NFL is interested, point out those rumours to the ND AD, profit!

It's amazing how quiet something like that can be made with the right check.

I heard it was an ex-Cincinnati player who had some "news"  he was trying to sell to the highest bidder. Kelly shut him up quick.

Probably to get attention since they love it so much. Maybe there is some law I am unaware about this kind of information too.

It's odd the amount of hatred that ND has for Weis, compared to say Davie or Willingham.  Weis had godawful gameday coaching (horrid clock management) but he did management to get ND's recruiting profile up and put both Quinn and Clausen on a path to getting a NFL paycheck.  Fat ass did more to make the program functional than his predecessors.

/plus of course everyone's favorite, O'Leary
//or the time the ND AD decided hiring Gaury Faust was a good idea
/seriously front-butt was an inspired higher compared to most previous choices
