I'm gonna leave this here. I scrawled this note down during a particularly intense manic episode in which I was convinced that I had figured out the nature of the universe, which is summarized in the paragraph below:

Build a DNA-based biological computer that through molecular dynamics simulations, network analysis, and AI, could physically influence itself and thus attain transcendence and consciousness. A biological entity that can know and change itself on a molecular level by perturbing cell biology and physiology. This entity could then attain the intelligence required to understand the currently incomprehensible complexity of particle/quantum physics and through another tier of this process attain the ability to influence and integrate energy states into physical forms, in essence attaining the ability to achieve formless consciousness. HAS THIS ALREADY HAPPENED? Is the universe a manifestation of some infinite consciousness? And if we are on the road to such technology, are we just repeating a cycle? Is the human god concept an artifact of our intimate relationship to the universe? We are the universe, it is us, we will become it and it has been us. this explains everything!!!! A society of pre-transcendent supreme beings would, in fact, consider individualism so obscene that they may use their power to destroy themselves and thus the universe, replacing it with a new creation, one that for the vaaast majority of its existence would contain no individuals at all, thus cleansing the universe and restoring it to a pure state. Or perhaps the pre-big bang singularity was the desired state... What went wrong!?

Phase one completed. I'm not crazy I swear.....

I agree. I read the novel by Larson before I watched the original movie/series and then the remake. The cylons went from multi-brained, order-obsessed alien overlords to an anti-tech parable.

Bullshiat, unless you're talking about the final season of Enterprise which is the only season of Enterprise, and the fifth season of Babylon 5 which doesn't exist.  Sleeping in the Light was the series Finale at the end of Season 4.

/ Seriously, Sleeping in the Light was filmed for the fourth season as the series finale since they didn't think they were going to get a fifth season.
// Then they did get a fifth season, which was mostly crap, and filmed The Deconstruction of Falling Stars as the Season 4 finale.
/// That is also part of the reason why Ivanova appeared in Sleeping in the Light but not in the rest of Season 5.
//// There seems to be disagreement about whether Claudia Christian was fired or quit.

I literally finished watching B5 fr my first time last night. I understand why season 5 isn't as cool as 4, but it's in no way bad stuff. Calling S5 crap unfairly elevates truly crap stuff like Voyager, imho.
