Just voted again: Juno is # 4!

FYI:

The Facebook icon posted the contest to my page when I clicked: it did NOT let me vote through Facebook.

An "oopsie" with my email address did not keep me from voting. Forgot that the email I voted with is on gmail, not yahoo. Guess I won't be getting Petfinder.com emails......

I'd vote, but apparently I can't since I'm a convicted felon non-American.  I don't want there to be any investigation into voting irregularities and spoil it for Juno

laulaja: Mitch Taylor's Bro, compliments on good looks of both Primo & Dulce. Compliments on name choices as well.

Thanks, they came as "Pepper" and "Maui," but since I adopted them, I get to call them what I want, dangit! :-)

& last but far from least, Tnx & Fangqs to all our service veterans & active duty personnel.
That especially includes L33t Squirrel on active duty.  Can say it includes Plumbicon too as a veteran of Ago.

This. Thanks, veterans, and a moment of silence this weekend for the fallen.

I'll thank WhoopAssWayne whose TF apparently didn't  expire at midnight after all, for the compliments on Furry (short for Furrnandina) & sons. She let herself into our garage the mid-April weekend of 2007 when Plumbicon & I were at barbershop harmony contests of our geographical areas, as regulars here have heard before. Sought a safe place to bear, safer than the Feral Barn we suspect she stayed at before. This began Feline Takeover of these premises.

One of the 80 bazillion possible buys from that major ntl contest underway by e-mail. Many of said items are for those with more $$ than sense, may've said before.
Another item found there among available discounted magazine subscriptions, some of which can be useful, desired or both, is for Farm & Ranch Living.  Cover tale on sample copy brought maynerdkitty to mind: Good Dogs: Heart & Soul of the Farm.mk said she could sure use a good farm dog; furrgot name already, but dog currently living there with her & cats could stand to be more aggressive toward certain local wildlife.
Type at ft of pg 5, after we made groc & 2 bank runs (both for deposit).

Ok, get off my lawn moment...we've had a people moving into a house across the street for about two weeks. They have a big white panel truck, which arrives at sporatic times, we've had two moving vans(geebus the house isn't that big!)..and now some a*hat is parked pretty much over half my driveway. Wouldn't common courtesy require that you at least ask the homeowner if it's ok to park there? Are they really so dumb they don't know they are blocking the drive?? I called the police. My husband won't be able to get in the drive and he has a small car!

Ok, make that 4 feet, and he moved his truck up one house, when he saw me out there with a tape measure. I told him he can't be within 2 feet of the driveway, or our city cops would have him towed. He is still sitting across my neighbors driveway. If this guy doesn't move I'm going to call my neighbor..he bad!

I don't blame you. Upstairs neighbors from me were moving out and decided that it was a good idea to park the U-Haul diagonally across three parking spaces (we have assigned parking spaces). They were parked across mine, the downstairs neighbor next to me and their own space. I hate to snitch on people, but there was no reason to block off other spaces when they could have just as easily backed the truck into their own space. The onsite property manager got a call from me & she chewed them out good.

And if that wasn't bad enough the tenant left a couch in his apartment. He sends over one of his buddies to haul it away since he didn't want it any longer. His buddy decided the best way to get the couch downstairs was to heave it up onto the balony railing and push it over the side. Nevermind that there's a paved path that goes between the apartments that's frequently used. I shudder to think what would have happened if a child was on the path heading to the playground when the couch was pushed over the side. As is it landed part way on my patio, narrowly missing my sliding glass door by just a couple of inches. I gave the guy hell for that and he just shrugged as if it were no big deal, then he proceeds to haul the couch over to the dumpster enclosure (he was supposed to remove the couch from the property entirely). I told him that he couldn't leave it there and he ignored me. And that ended up causing the former tenant a fee because Sanipac had to make a special trip out to haul it away. I bet he wasn't too happy with his buddy after that.

Well, the a*hat moved his truck, but only after his buddies saw me come out the door with a tape measure. He was 4 feet over my driveway. I told the guy the correct thing to do would be to ask permission to block the drive for a short time. And I told him that in this city they will tow your vehicle.. and yeah he left not 2 mins after..and the cops never did show. grr!! The dispatcher was a real peice of work. Sarcastic. I bet she never even put it out there. And when I called back 30 mins after I called. She just said "Yeah, thanks for letting us know they left"...

I was frankly surprised by my former neighbor's behavior (parking across three spaces) since he seemed to be a pretty nice guy when he was still a tenant. Quiet too. The only noise I would hear is the opening "bonk bonk" of a "Law & Order" episode. He watched them for hours at a time on his days off.

I am very disappointed with the response I had. Maybe it is because I used he non emergency number? Dunno..not happy that after 30 mins. No one ever showed up. I am obnoxious enough thatI called the mayors office and left a message. This just really taints all those first responders who do their jobs, and do them well..like hubby says, something odd is going on at this house.

I finally wised up and put the cats who need to go to the vet in a cage the night before their spay/neuter surgery. After searching the house for cats too many times and not finding them, I put them in a cage then I know where they are when I want them.
It's embarrassing to have to cancel vet appts when cats disappear when I need to bring them in for their appointments.

I'm still learning in Photoshoppe, but Van Gogh and Monet just seem to lend themselves to Calvin and Hobbes.
So I am guilty of "enhancing" some of the Masters.

//now I know where some cats get their extra toes from

I've heard of polydactylism, but... uh, monodactylism?

 Syndactyly
There are two toes on each foot, I think that's what I can see. There are definitely two claws but there isn't a lot of space between the toes.

Well, there's the new thing I learned today! I can go to bed now :-)

One of Desi's littermates was syndactyl, that was the first I'd ever heard of it.

We spayed a cat earlier this month that had 7 toes on each of her front feet. I think her back feet were normal but can't remember. I'd seen mitten paws before but not 7 toes. I wish I would have gotten a picture :(

Must leave for a moment, I have little fuzzy monkey butts hanging on my leg.....
