Maybe it's just the super close up, detailed gross out shots that I remember that make it seem worse than those two other shows. I still get a chuckle out of the Rocco's Modern Life where he goes to the DMV though.

I've been watching the Justice League animated series on Netflix.

I think Hawkgirl is required to make a premature ejaculation joke at The Flash's expense at least twice a season.

"I'm the fastest man alive!"
"No wonder you can't get a date."
"HEY!"

It aired in the day time on Nickelodeon. Most of them were just kiddie gross out (like Stimpy's Booger collection). But I do remember watching it with my dad and him laughing at times I didn't find funny or understand, and watching them now I realize exactly what he was laughing at.

IdBeCrazyIf: Adventure Time has some good subtle ones

And not-so-subtle ones. They basically did a freakin' hentai gag a few episodes back. To be sure, it was a video of a woman sucking on her "hair", but the hair in question was depicted in a very, um... tentacular way and the grossed-out reactions of everyone (and the look on her face) basically screamed, "Hey! Tentacle-sex!"

I can only assume that it got passed the radar because the censors had never even heard of hentai.

It didn't air during the day, at least not when it came out.  I was on at night during that time after all the day's kiddy cartoons but before Nick at Nite came on.  I can't for the life of me remember what they called it (Snick maybe?), but it was when they showed all the teen level shows.  Sort of like Adult Swim, but for teens.  Same for Rocko's Modern Life.

No. "Mighty's Benefit Plan" was the best, and that's because I know the back story behind the episode (used to know one the animators).

The studios that Ralph & Co. had were also occupied by Bagdasarian Prod. (who made the Chipmunks tv show). The two heirs of Ross Bagdasarian Sr. were a couple of snotty trust fund brats and treated everyone at their own company AND at Ralph's company like sh*t. Janice Felice Karman (wife of Ross Jr.) even used to let her little yapdog go across the building to Bakshi's side to take a dump, and many an animator found poochie's little "presents" if they weren't watching their step.

One day, the mutt met the bottom side of a car just outside the building, and since Bakshi and the gang were going to make an episode that takes the piss out of Alvin & the Chipmunks anyway, they decided to add in a narrator called "Mashy the Pup"

Futurama's "Kegelcizer" was another good one.

[theinfosphere.org image 706x540]

that episode was on last night.

and regarding tfa, one of my favorites was an episode of the Flintstones where Fred n Barney both lose their jobs and dont wanna tell their wives so they take new jobs at a drive-in restaurant (like Sonic, with women on skates bringing food out to customers).  One of the hot women skates in and says an order and adds "Hold the onion" and Fred replies, "Hold the onions? I'd rather hold the tomatoes." and gives Barn a glance that gets a chuckle from him.

Also, when the Flintstones aired it was in prime time and wasnt 'for kids'.  It was a take on the Honeymooners aimed as a typical night-time sitcom.

And the 'fingering prince' wasn't a sexual reference.  They were doing a bit of nostalgic sleuthing.  Perps were often fingered, as in pointed out as being guilty, in line-ups or by stool pigeons/rats.  An adult would assume they tried the to make it a sexual thing when it was just a reference to past colloquialisms.  But the other ones were okay for the list. some i'd never seen like the Mighty Mouse one.

Yeah, that wasn't it.  Yakko told Dot to "dust for prints."  About thirty seconds later she comes back and says "I found Prince!"  Yakko shees Dot holding Prince and says "no, no, no: finger prints."  Dot looks at Prince then back to Yakko and says "I don't think so" and throws him out the port hole.  It wasn't a reference to the notion of "fingering" as an accusation.

ah, i missed what Dot says.  i only saw the thrown out part.  then i stand corrected.  and it does deserve the top slot cuz that is pretty damn devious for a show that was already pretty devious.

i just went back to find the WB cartoons of elmer fudd fighting off injuns when you can see the injun mouthing "goddam sonofabiatch".  i guess it isnt sexually filthy but i always thought that was one of the greats that slipped by censors.  btw, it was called 'the hardship of miles standish' or something like that if you want to search for it.  i couldnt find any good copies to look at.
