cman: McMichael was WCW. And if you are gonna go down that road, how can ye forget GOLDBERG?And fark you, subs, for implying that Ahmed Johnson is anything but awesome
bulldg4life: Goldberg, The Rock, Brock Lesnar...I'm sure there were more.
ManateeGag: Ahmed Johnson wasn't that bad.
Diogenes: WWE has made a significant investment in trying to develop younger talent that can follow in the footsteps of those legends. The company recently announced plans to build a 26,000 square-foot training center in Orlando, Fla., where its developmental program will be based.Super. Like we're not cheesy and fake enough here.

Like we're not cheesy and fake enough here. For a company that likes to retread history ALL THE TIME you'd figure they would want to revisit the last time they had a training facility that actually worked. When Jim Cornette ran OVW, it produced Kurt Angle, Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton, Batista, John Cena, and probably a whole bunch of other guys I'm forgetting. This idea sounds more like the WCW power plant.
Diogenes: I don't follow wrestling at all. But when I used to live down the street from Universal (this was even before they added Islands of Adventure and CityWalk), I could have sworn there was some sort of pro wrestling facility right there on the same property. Or an adjoining one. Maybe that was WCW?
tnpir: Was this around 1993 in Orlando?
Diogenes: tnpir: Was this around 1993 in Orlando?Little bit after. I lived in that neighborhood roughly from '97 - 2005. Not important. Maybe it was a touring show or something.
Tell Me How My Blog Tastes: The Rock probably had an NFL tryout or two; he played ball @ Miami.
WippitGuud: A little google-fu:Tatanka (played forMiami Dolphins)-Droz (played forDenver Broncos)-Kevin Greene (played forJacksonville Jaguars)-John Heidenrich (played forWashington Redskins, New Orleans Saints, and Atlanta Falcons.)-Junk Yard Dog (played for Green Bay Packers)-Lex Luger (played for Green Bay Packers)-Tito Santana (played for Kansas City Chives)-Ron Simmons (played for Cleveland Browns)-Vader (played for Los Angeles Rams)

UCJJ: Add Wahoo McDaniel to the list of successes.Whatever they try the failure rate is going to be extremely high, because the people in charge have no idea how to train and promote anymore.
verbaltoxin: Verne Gagne quit the Packers because pro wrestling made more money back then.
machoprogrammer: verbaltoxin: Verne Gagne quit the Packers because pro wrestling made more money back then.Plus he wouldn't be able to win MVP at age 59
Representative of the unwashed masses: Match of the Millenium: John Cena vs. Tim Tebow/The only question will be who to boo...
