Well if all the teenagers leave, then the spelling and punctuation will improve.

A new report released this week from the Pew Internet & American Life Project found that Facebook remains the leading social network among American teenagers. It's also the most reviled.

But quitting Facebook? Absurd!

I saw some pics on my little cousin's FB page... it was just girls playing around at a sleepover (mostly just cute pics) but ummm... the girls were mostly their bras with a few in their undies. It looks like they were "playing" belly dancer or something.  I mean, they had the same amount covered up as a bikini would but it just didn't sit well.  I kinda feel like as a older and more wise female cousin I'm in line to tell her to take those down - but I also don't want to be victim of a 17 year old's attitude.

Yeah, let's not pretend it's "those teenagers" that comprise the drama queens on Facebook.

Any female under 18 who ever came swimming with me and/or my family got a stop at a department store first for a one-piece bathing suit.

/Can't believe how mothers of daughters will dress them. And yes, I know that might be blaming the victim, but with cameras so ubiquitous these days....

Some of the teenagers they interviewed are mentally deficient. There's no drama on my facebook because I don't start drama. People that I don't want to hear from, I either unfriend or just unsubscribe. Herp derp, what's so hard about that? I don't want people seeing pictures of me in a  compromising light? Untag, block, or even just get it removed if need be. I have it set so that any pictures of me, that are tagged, go into the review before it gets posted to my timeline.

Shoot me the URL.
Allow me to post something on her pics, and I can assure you, that as a 56 year old man, I will be tasteful, but she'll be creeped out enough by it to take them down.

My cousin is kind of a drama class nerd. She's still growing into herself. But let's just say that one of the girls was OBVIOUSLY the "hot trouble maker" of the group. I got a nice view of he bending over in satin panties. I'm like, WHO THE FARK WOULD PUT THIS PICTURE UP?? Oh yeah, 17 year olds.

I'm so happy FB didn't exist in my day.

Talk to her parents, not her. Approach it from a privacy perspective with the "everything you post on the internet is there forever" argument.

Link to some news stories about teachers, etc., who lost their jobs because of admins or parents slut-shaming them.

Then hands-off.

How about it'll be in use as long as something more convenient doesn't show up.
Meanwhile, if your parents or grandparents being on there bother you, just log in every now and then to check for messages then use something else.

. As our society degenerated, I saw the pain in my father's eyes and heard it in his voice. I didn't understand until I had more memory to measure change by, and Now? The pain is in my eyes, and there is anger and bitterness in my voice, because of what we have lost. ....Or given away. ..Traded away? I don't know. It's gone. If our young men and women could be decent again.

As a parent of two teenagers (13yo boy, 17yo girl), I can say that both of them are fairly ambivalent, at best, about FB anymore....Daughter was a former huge FB user, but is now on Instagram and twitter all the time, son is playing Minecraft and kinda out of the social media thing for now....I was/am "friends" with some of their friends too and those kids activities have died down as well....Kids aren't loyal to anything except what's "new".  Facebook isn't "new" anymore, so they're looking for something else.

/have told both of my kids, on numerous occasions, whatever you put on the internet, is there FOREVER!! Remember that before you hit the "Enter" or "Send" button....thankfully, thus far it has seemed to work...
