Looking forward to seeing the best and most knowledgeable fans in professional sports come out and #fanup for their Miami Heat.

Also, word is that the league determined Mario Chalmers is not an "unfair advantage and assault against the physics and rules of the game of basketball" and cleared him to play tonight.  Lol.  Heat may be up 2-0 or even 3-0 by the time this game is over.

Many of these loyal fans knew about this team even before Lebron James played there. Some of them were such big basketball fans they even knew who Lebron James was.

I like how you guys are bagging on the knowledge of the Miami Heat fans, but you all know they're going to let Reggie Miller have it when the Pacers walk out on the floor tonight.

I don't know why you think Heat fans have it in so badly for the Green Bay Pacers.

Prediction: loose ball, Wade and James dive for it, bump heads, knock each other unconscious.  Chris Bosh starts crying, Norris Cole quits team and auditions for Kid n Play tribute band.

Can somebody explain why it makes sense that the Western Conference finals have already played 2 games before the Eastern finals have even played game 1? Wouldn't it make more sense to space them evenly so there's less chance of one team having a huge layoff before the Finals?

I assume because the West is slated to go seven games while the East is scheduled to go five, according to Stern.

/really, when you schedule like that you're only inviting conspiracy theories

Stern wanted to give Dwyane Wade as much time as possible to heal his sore knee so there is a better chance of Lebron's team making it to the Finals.  No way anyone is tuning in to watch Pacers/Spurs or Pacers/Grizzlies.

Pretty sure the East will play games 1 and 2 before the West plays game 3, so it will even out.

Yep.  And so did Stern, until he saw the enormous egg the Lakers were laying all season long.

Would've been an earlier start to the series if the Pacers could've close the Knicks out in five. Then, to make sure the Pacers had enough rest, they got FORTY-SIX free throws at home in Game 6 and the refs took Shumpert and Chandler (the Knicks' only defenders) out early.

No.  I'm not a big NBA conspiracy guy.  I was just responding sarcastically to the question about the delay.

Given how much the guy on the bus was swearing up and down that the Pacers would crush the heat, and Granger/Hibbert is the best duo since Jordan/Pippen, I'm going to say Heat in 5

Exactly, they most likely wanted the more premere matchup (Heat) on their most popular day (Sunday).  Not a conspiracy, I'm sure they work out scheduling based on potential ratings all the time.

Heat in 7. farking Heat.

Home team wins each game. Lebron whines about respect while being allowed 4 steps for every dribble. Wade complains about foul calling while holding every Pacer he's supposed to guard. And Hibbert dominates first few games in the paint while demonstrating all possible meanings of the word silent.

This would be pretty sick but neither of them are winning

What was it that Slick Leonard said?

(paraphrasing) "Lebron thinks this is a great team? Put them up against the Lakers with Chamberlain, West, and Baylor. You're going to match Bosh against Wilt? West would probably drop 60 on 'em."

AND I streamed it on an old AMD 64, 1gb, XP connected to a 42" LCD at my pizza shop. It didn't jump too much, but I left the "update codec" and another download alone.

That's really weird considering Granger hasn't played since regular season Game 5.

Funny you bring that up... I went to an audition for the original round of the "You Don't Know Jack" TV game show pilot in the mid 90s, and the "Read the Book" guy was trying out as well.
