However, one person told the BBC that it was a "disgusting eyesore".

Oh England, thou'rt a cromulent blend of strange popular culture, twisted knickers, and happy-go-lucky simpletons.

It's actually a pretty amazing story. The house was painted a crazy design with bright colors that are completely mismatched with the neighborhood. The people who live there laugh about it. The neighbors seem to like it except for one poopyhead.

And no HOA is going to make them put it back the way it was.

That one whiner should be forced to pay for the paint and do the work himself.

Anything that brightens up gray dreary England is a good thing.

As revenge for bricking up his brother's driveway, they need to stop now before they inadvertently start WWIII

I mean who really would brick up a driveway that's crazy expensive.

It's like Grumpy Old Men, except they're in their 30s.

Pink aside, it looks like a well thought out paint job, I guess all the neighbors agree.

I wonder how long the reporter had to look and ask around to find the grouch, and they are not introduced as someone who even lives in the area so I suspect it was just a crabby person walking down a street.

Now that's going to some extra lengths for a prank!

Some people have too much time on their hands.

The Grump prolly just said that because the guy bangin' on the door was naggin' him to. Besides, if the paint job was somebody's tribute to a cartoon show, he wanted to start out on the negative side. Now that it's out as a prank, he could live with it, I'm sure.

/Raised England's culture three points.

It was even funnier when I submitted it from the BBC News website 24 hours ago with a better headline.

Not bitter, just saying.

/ Old news is great!

Old news is an oxymoron. You're probably the grouch that doesn't like the paint job ;)
