Gotta love parents who introduce their kids to the classics, though.  My 3 year old nephew knew that
the three faces on his T-shirt were Captain America, Iron Man and The Hulk without prompting, and his
father isn't anywhere near as big a nerd as I am, but he believes very strongly in encouraging imagination
and loves comics.

And thus Fark morphed into "Reddit 3 hours ago".  Admittedly minus most of the circle jerking and forced memes.  I hate to think what Total Fark is like.

LOL, where is Iceman?  That would've been awesome if they had Iceman there too.

An alias, apparently. But James? How mundane.

BTW, Captain America's shield is made of an alloy of vibranium and steel (old school answer).

PsyLord: Wolverine's name isn't Logan?

Well, sorta, but not really since they retconned a bunch of shiat since the movies.

Can anyone else back me up that while Wolverines bones have always been adamantium coated, his healing factor was his only mutant power and his claws were solid adimantium and a side effect of the weapon x procedure, not natural bone claws underneath? Or did i imagine all that?

Well, the two forms of vibranium, from Wakanda and the Savage Land (which isnt commonly called vibranium), have completely different properties....

Oh god, how the fark do i know that.

Cyno01: his claws were solid adimantium and a side effect of the weapon x procedure, not natural bone claws underneath? Or did i imagine all that?

That was true right up until he popped the bone version after Magneto stripped all the metal out of him.  After that, he has always had bone claws.

/And, yes, my tenses were correct in the last sentence

For the longest time the general belief was his claws were built-in when he was augmented with adamantium, not natural.  Then back in the 90s Magneto ripped the adamantium from his body and a few episodes later after barely surviving he was training or something, made the reflexive movement to pop his claws, and boom, out came bone claws much to the surprise of everyone including Wolverine.  And while his healing factor is one of his mutant powers, the presence of the adamantium apparently kicked it into overdrive I think.  For the period he was without it, his healing factor was very low and even the process of popping his bone claws could almost cause him to bleed out.  That was way before they did any of the Origins storyline from a few years ago where it showed him having the bone claws as part of his mutant powers from a young age.

Close.  The bones were considered powers, along with the healing factor, but his factor was low because he was actually in major healing mode restoring the adamantium that had been removed,  It had been a part of his structure so his factor thought its removal was an error.

Ah thanks.  It's been too long since I read that story arc.  It was actually pretty darn good if I recall correctly.  And it was nice to see Wolverine have his ass handed to him by Magneto.

I knew all of them except where vibranium comes from.  I knew it was Black Panther's country but I couldn't remember the name.

/Great--I'm in my 40s, have read comics for over 20 years, and I'm barely smarter than a 4-yo.

Watching that video just underlines how much I have failed as a father.

/ Took my daughter out of school for a "dentist's appointment"; went to see Star Wars.
// She hated it, and made me feel like a jerk for taking her away from her school-friend/experience.
/// It was Star Wars I, so I didn't blame her for hating it.
