You know the worst thing about Florida? All the losers from everywhere else. It's really cheap to live here so all the lazy asses that can't make it in NY and Chicago end up down here. Add that to a rampant government sponsored pill mill economy and it all goes to hell. Thankfully they all cluster around the urban areas. If you get away from town you'll meet some really nice people and see some amazing things. I won't get too specific on locations because I don't want to share, but we have some great springs and rivers and beaches.

St. Petersburg has surpassed Tampa as the cool kids' spot.  We used to drive to Tampa for nightlife, now they all drive here.

Granted, I stay hunkered down in dive bars like Mastry's, The Emerald, The Flamingo, Steve's, and Wilson's.
