Here's an idea!

When the vote comes up for Oklahoma disaster relief, instead of Pork, add the 82 Nominations that have been blocked over the past 4 years.

Hypocrites, illiterates, racists, sexists, homophobes, anti-education types, the incurious, those who view ignorance as a badge of honor, the malcontented - these exist in some amounts in all political parties. But only in the GOP do they have a happy, welcoming home where those attributes are celebrated and encouraged.

Do we really need multiple threads to explore the well known fact that Oklahoma is represented in the Senate by troglodytes?

He voted against the pork in the Sandy bill.  There will be zero pork in this bill as pork goes to other districts, necessary allocations go to mine.

MyRandomName: Sandy was the wrong way to do aid. Why appropriate a vast sum up front, itleads to waste and fraud . How about pay as you rebuild. The 99 hurricane was paid out in 4 bills. Nobody knows what sandy will cost yet.

Oh, sure. That sounds efficient. People always make their best decisions when they're under intense political pressure, and the best contracts are always the ones that you negotiate with a gun at your head.

Step 1 : Obstruct Legislation
Step 2 : When something HAS to pass (or everyone looks like D-Bags and gets fired) throw everything you can at it to to see what sticks.
Step 3 : Claim it was stuffed with "Pork" except for the "Necessary Allocations" for YOUR constituents.
Step 4 : Vote against Obamacare
Step 5 : See Step 1

IDK, i take great issue with my tax dollars going to rebuild homes, businesses, and schools that are going to be destroyed again by a tornado in a couple years.  This isnt exactly the first time Moore OK has been devastated by a tornado, and guess what.  IT wont be the last.

But this guy wants the pork for his state because it is what will get him elected.  We all know these people home insurance is going to have excuses on why not to pay, and i am sure the GOP will have no issue with them saving their profit margins.

Mrbogey: Stile4aly: So when a contractor says "I estimate it will cost $100,000 to rebuild your washed-away house" do you then say "I'll give you $873.50. Go ahead and get started. The rest is coming soon, I promise."

I take it you've never built a house before. You never pay the whole price up front.

If you ever approach a contractor and say, "I want a house, here's $500,000, you will indeed spend at least $500,000 on your house."

Wow, that's insightful.

That would be a good reason not to hand a blank check to contractors on no-bid minimal-doc deals too then. I wonder how the Senators of Oklahoma voted on those deals during the Iraq War. I'm sure they completely opposed these deals and held hearings to stop it.

"Sen. James Inhofe, a Republican from Oklahoma, argued that there is no comparison between Hurricane Sandy relief, which he voted against last fall, and aid for his state in the wake of Monday's devastating tornado because 'New York and New Jersey vote Democrat and my state votes repub.'"

How dare the senator point this out. How dare he ask for offsets to pay for it.

The liberal way is to throw money at the problem without oversight.

You know how I know you have no idea what the hell you're talking about?

A rather consistent posting history since 2007?

Sure. What I find interesting is that I've been looking through Oklahoma news outlets and it appears that there is practically a media blackout on Coburn and Inhofe's comments regarding funding. Barely mentioned, if it is mentioned, and I've yet to see one on the front page.

They should be shamed endlessly until they resign from office. They should never be mentioned or spoken to without this being the only topic of conversation until their political lives are forfeit

Inhofe contended on Tuesday that the Hurricane Sandy relief bill was different because it was filled with pork.

Here's the Sandy relief bill, motherfarker http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/113/hr41/text

Point out where all that pork is.

clkeagle: Yep. It's only "pork" if it's for someone else's constituents.

Any specific disaster bill should fund solely the recovery after disaster that just happened - don't put a lot of other spending in there that has little or nothing to do with the disaster.

That being said, Inhofe is an insufferable dick.
