Wow....

I finally broke down and watched that show. There was way too much crazy for a 42 minute video.

MagSeven: The more you eat the more you fart: okay...watched video, never saw that episode of kitchen nightmares.

The guys a huge arsehole....and his wife, from what I can tell...well...NO idea why a broad that looks like her would be with some guy that looks like HIM, much less earn him a greencard.

Someone needs to stomp his head in...that would fix his attitude problem.

My infinite wisdom tells me that people are together for any or all of these 5 reasons.
1.Love
2. Awesome sex
3. Money
4. Drugs
5. Protection

Now I don't know either of them personally, but I'm reasonably confident we can rule out the first 2.

6. Blackmail. These two have too much dirt on each other.

There is sooooo much crazy in the restaurant business.

CSB:

Years back when I was installing AV equipment, we ran across a guy building this beautiful bar who wanted the best equipment money could buy. The place was awesome, and the owner had a wish-list of electronics that was beyond anything we'd put together before. We had several meetings to map out his needs, and signed on the dotted line to provide it.

After ordering up the stuff, we make the trip to install it. We start by putting up the TV mounts.

Owner: "WHOA!...you aren't putting screws into my new walls are you? That can't happen".
Me: "This is where you wanted the TVs, right? How exactly do you suggest I mount them to the middle of the wall?"
Owner: "Not my problem, but you aren't putting screws in my walls."

It went downhill quick from there...to the point of having a very large stock of new TVs and stereo equipment.

Fixed that for you, sport.

That doesn't even make sense. You will have to do better than that if you expect her to have sex with you.

Lady, this is a County that KEEPS electing Sheriff Joe. What I saw out there made me long for the straight up corruption that is Massachusetts. At least the mobbed up asshats out here keep the neighborhoods safe. Seriously. Safest neighborhood I've been in out here had a meth lab--the guys who ran it made for damn sure that their clients weren't anywhere near, and ran anyone off who even thought about attracting attention. The mobbed up neighborhoods? Safe as houses.

Out in Phoenix? Whole different story, whole different ballgame. This is a town that still thinks of itself as the Wild West, only with more housing developments, a lot more industry cash, and a few sports teams and training camps. Even those aren't terrible safe. Worst shootings in the area have happened at or near those arenas. It is the first place that I've thought about carrying since Boston. Then I was making night deposits near the Combat Zone, back when it was still sketchy.  Phoenix and Maricopa is a Disneyland for violence and crazy, and none of the officials nor their Sheriffs nor their police are particularly inclined to do much about it, because the more headlines means harder crackdowns, more press, more funding, and herding folks into communities to flee the nastiness, which happened to be owned by folks who put the folks supposedly trying to "control" the problem into office.

Try Pema County. Nice folks. Decent. Maricopa?  It's Disneyland with golf, guns, and glory.

Mother Teresa was a con artist? Man, you can't trust anyone these days.

Mother Teresa was that and a coont, according to some:

http://www.nouvelles.umontreal.ca/udem-news/news/20130301-mother-ter es a-anything-but-a-saint.html

"There is something beautiful in seeing the poor accept their lot, to suffer it like Christ's Passion. The world gains much from their suffering," she said.

[24.media.tumblr.com image 500x375]

"We seem to be made to suffer. It's our lot in life."

That only works if C3PO has a bank account with millions of bucks in donations but lets the ill suffer while he flies to Coruscant for a life-saving circuitry alteration.

I don't know if it's been said yet, but, from TFA: The restaurateurs said that they had more than 1,500 reservations for Amy's this week and announced plans to donate 10 percent of the grand-opening proceeds to the Megan Meier Foundation, which raises awareness of cyberbullying.

Because they know all about cyber bullying. Their FB posts were epic on a level I could only dream about.

From the tweets last night, it was unspectacular. If there were shills, they lowballed the reviews. Saamy was on the best behavior and Amy was in the kitchen. Later in the evening, the food and service seemed to suffer a bit, but not dramatically.

Go to the "Phoenix New Times" for running commentary and reactions.

Not sure when they'll take walk-in again. I'd say check back in a week or so when the attention died down, and see if Samy is back in full form.

Dickfreckle "/Ramsay did a show on a restaurant where I happen to know some of the staff. The consensus among the staff was while plenty of the scenarios are scripted, often they aren't. Or at least they weren't in that particular episode. If you watch the show it's pretty obvious what's fake and what's real, and having known the asshole owner (of one of my local joints, not Amy's) I'm inclined to agree."

My sister in law was in a Kitchen Nightmares episode - the restaurant and owners were accurately and honestly shown as they are (lunatics) and, although the episodes are understandably edited for dramatic tension, the one she was in was not scripted. The owners went right back to their lunacy as soon as GR left. Leopards rarely change their spots.

I still remember the fark story about the guy that was on millionaire matchmaker and had warrents out on him.
