Lanny took his mom there, because Momma Poffo likes Olive Garden. If that's where your 86 year old mom wants to go to remember one of her sons, you do it.

Honestly.  Only in America are there people out there watching what the relatives of minor celebrities are doing after their deaths.

I can't believe they didn't even mention how Randy Savage ascended to the heavens to stop Jesus from beginning the Rapture

Meh.  Maybe it was his favorite restaurant as a kid.  They (like me) grew up in the 'burbs of Chicago.  Olive Garden was generally the best thing you were going to find for a reasonable price.  We went quite often.

"Macho Man's Family went to the Olive Garden to commemorate his death. Where did your family go to Monsoon?"

"They were in far too deep in mourning to eat Brain..."

"...So they hired a private caterer?"

"Bastards partied like rock stars..."

To be fair, Lanny Poffo probably tipped 'em off to get his name in the papers.

"I think my family will party when I'm gone Monsoon."

"Really Brain?"

"Yep every morning my son doesn't give me a hug, he checks my pulse and then disappointingly grimaces."

"Kind of like when we watch RAW."

2013-05-21 03:51:54 PM
Damn. I missed the memo on that one and had no idea he was dead. I actually dined at a very nice restaurant in the Tampa area years ago when he and an entourage sat at the next table. I found it amusing that he talked the same way to everyone there as he did on TV (as well as the fact that he did almost all the talking at that table). I ran into Hulk Hogan a few times around Clearwater and he hung up the wrestling shtick when not in the ring. Not so with the Macho Man.

Revenge of the Muttonstache: Why is this in the sports tab?

Because wrestling endings are (typically) less predictable than NBA games?
Because it requires a certain amount of athleticism to perform as a wrestler at a high level?
Because you touch yourself at night?
Because the admins said so?
Because fark you that's why?

Take your pick.

And thanks from here too. Good read. A lot about Randy I didn't know.
It says quiet a lot when Brett Hart says "Randy was a professional, he'd never do anything to hurt you. I'd let Randy to anything to me."

Still miss you Madness
