Mistymtnhop: jehovahs witness protection: sammyk: jehovahs witness protection: Liberals on Fark to defend her in 3, 2, 1

She's not even defending herself. Why would anyone else? That's what you do not get. Liberals here on fark do not defend anything a liberal says blindly. We do however accept honest apologies and move on.l

"'Made a political joke, Twas before devastation revealed. In hindsight, had I understood, I would have refrained. Beyond sorry. #LetMeHaveIt' shetweeted about three and a half hours after her original joke.

Wouldn't it be awesome for a big tornado to hit Chicago?

I'm sorry.

Why do you dislike Chicago?

Because Obama has something to do with it. That's not even a joke.

Obama, because he worked in Chicago and was in politics there, made conservatives obsess over "Chicago-style politics" and paint the entire city as something out of Sin City with unions. It's another phrase they don't understand or think about, just throw it out like it's a magic word to hex liberals.

One comedian saying tornadoes target conservatives is not worse than several elected officials saying hurricanes target blacks

Captain Darling: True how? It's not true that OK was targeted by a tornado wizard, because there is no such thing. But it is true that some conservatives said similar things about Katrina - only they were not joking.

But both sides are bad so vote wingnut.

It kind of depends on whether or not you believe in a God that singles people out.

2013-05-21 10:35:31 AM
That's mild compared to some of the Whrrgrble I have read from conservatards for the past decade.

Besides the joke is, EVERY TIME there is some disaster, some conservatard religious freak is screaming how it's God's will to punish liberals.

jehovahs witness protection: I'm sorry.

You certainly are.

2013-05-21 10:37:32 AM
You mean a person who is encased in the political media wing battle would lose focus on what is wrong and right?

2013-05-21 10:38:32 AM
So wait, it's not God's will when it targets conseratives? Why didn't they just pray it away? I mean, when natural disasters target libbie libs, it's always God's will. So what's the story this time?

2013-05-21 10:40:13 AM
If she was a conservative preacher people would be sending her support and money.

Ha!  Very true.  My boss is constantly on about "Chicago-style politics".  All it does is make me hungry for pizza.

Even hilarious-er, we are from New Jersey.  Whatever this "Chicago-style" politics are, they'd be a welcome reprieve to the naked corruption we see here on a daily basis.

Thank you, conservatives of America, for reminding us while we're blinded by this tragedy that you are, once again, the true victims.

You said it, it is now up to you to find out if Coulter actually has a vagina.
We expect a report, no pictures please, on you findings.
Assuming you are still sane and sighted after finding out.

jehovahs witness protection: Liberals on Fark to defend her in 3, 2, 1

Some cockbag craving attention in thr--

Or could it be that your delicate sensibilities are offended at the fact that she took responsibility for her comment and was ready for the fallout? I know it's a bit of a foreign concept for conservatives to take responsibility for their actions...

Cheering for the misfortune and bodily harm of those you disagree with politically due to no fault of their own is despicable.  That being said, this type of cheering goes on all the time when it's perceived that one political entity gets hit harder than another even when it will hurt the country as a whole (as Conservatives cheered when Chicago lost the Olympic bid).

Some people are tiring of Scandal Gossip Club. And Fillibuster Club. And Obstruction Olympics.

There's only so much fantasy hallucinating diversion allowed before the reality of a Congress that doesn't work kicks in.

Chicago corruption has been a running joke for some time, but only with Obama have they really screamed about Chicago-style thuggery. Like he single-handedly brought decades of organized crime and corruption to Washington from Chicago, which is the only place in the country where it is. It's like outrage over Bill Ayers, the worst domestic terrorist conservatives never heard of until Obama ran, or Derrick Bell, the most liberal and fringe professor Harvard ever had conservatives never heard of until he was tied to Obama (and whose career was distinguished and prominent), or Jeremiah Wright, the most outspoken America-hating preacher conservatives never heard of until Obama ran (and whose statements were a few magnitudes less horrible than anything from Robertson or Falwell). Obama is connected, therefore it's the worst thing ever. There is no thought behind that. Obama's name is a killing adjective.

Pretty much what I was thinking.

Although the obvious answer is that the tiny thread of an almost link to Jon Stewart is great for manufacturing butthurt.

Don't be farking ridiculous. She made a joke about the IRS "scandal", before the extent of the tornado damage in Oklahoma became apparent. When it did, she apologised unreservedly and invited castigation. No cheering for misfortune or bodily harm - no cheering at all in fact.

It's not cheering; it's a joke, abet in poor taste, about how fundamentalists always blame natural disasters as God's wrath on gays, feminists, and liberals in general.

PreMortem: jehovahs witness protection: Liberals on Fark to defend her in 3, 2, 1

See, it's funny because a lot of conservatives think natural disasters are "controlled" by an invisible sky wizard. She was mocking their ignorance, not the death and destruction she had no knowledge of at the time.

No need to defend her, just pointing out the fallacy of this faux outrage.

"Jesus sent hurricane sandy to destroy Jew York City because liberals tolerate homogays and black people!"

- Every Christian ever. Yes, even you.

2013-05-21 10:53:57 AM
Well, I don't mean to sound callous, but why should they get any tax money? They knew what they were getting into when they foolishly chose to live in that region. It's not like nobody could see an inevitable storm tearing those flimsy, cheaply constructed buildings apart, and their houses are put right in front of danger, what the hell did they expect?

Oh, crap, my bad! I had my computer set on "Conservative Reactions to Katrina Victims" for a moment there. Isn't it strange how it was so easy to be crass to those victims? I wonder why.

Unsurprising that conservatives wouldn't make the connection.  Also unsurprising is conservatives getting their panties in a wad over this while a similar remark by a conservative would be deflected with, "Stop being so sensitive, pussy libtards!"

Wonder how many libs were killed in OKC by Twisterghazi.

Wonder why Pat thinks it's the homos' fault when so many natural disasters hit areas with a homo population density akin to American flags on the moon.
