It's not the candy that makes people fat. It's the shiat they're eating at mealtimes that's full of calories and the drinks they're gulping.

150 calories in a candy bar wouldn't be too bad if they weren't already eating 4000 calories every day.

If it fits your macros for the day, it won't make you fat. Too many calories makes you fat, not a particular food

Well yeah, the flavors are cherry, orange, banana, and grape. Nothing wrong with taking in more fruits.

Candy doesn't make you fat.  Being a lazy bum makes you fat.  Burn more than what you eat = weight loss.  Burn around the same amount as you eat=maintain weight.  Burn less than what you eat = weight gain.  <--- Billion dollar industry in 26 words.

Yugoboy: Oh thank God... now I can quit even trying to make dinners with vegetables and meat.

My future diet shall consist of naught but Candy Corn, Peeps and Cadbury Creme Eggs...

Mmmmmmmmmmmm....

I do like that Mars stopped make King Size candy bars and instead makes the same sized bar in two pieces as "2toGo."

That won't encourage me to eat half, dummies.  It just gives a stopping point to take a breather before mowing down the second half of the bar.

Those aren't candy bars.  They're candy bar-like treats.

tommyl66: You get them on Halloween, they're called Bit O'Honey, Necco Wafers and candy corn.

Candy corn is a chocolate cake personally baked by Kate Upton compared to circus peanuts.

Exactly.  At 15 calories/teaspoon, sugar is not really the core of the problem for most adults.  It's the  1000 calorie breakfasts,  1500 calorie lunches, 500calorie snacks, and 2000 calorie dinners.

The only time I see candy and sugary drinks playing a pivotal role in obesity is with kids, and frankly that starts with the parents giving them 400 calories worth of juice every day without thinking about it.

A wise man told me purple was a fruit.
