Were I Obama, I'd be tempted to say "Get to the bottom of it? Like with your goddamn birth certificate obsession? Grow up, shut up, and hand in your press passes at the door on your way out. We'll give them to some real journalists and see if maybe that improves the country as a whole."

This is a cozy thing to think, if you ignore him already talking about "getting to the bottom of these issues" because you don't think it's sincere enough, totally, yeah, that's justifiable and not a product of your own preconceptions.

The administration is interested in getting to the bottom of how they won't get caught for any of the other illegal activities they are guilty of.

It would have been a scandal if Obama had known any details about the IG investigation of the IRS's tea party targeting. Link

It's always the same 10 conservative sh*tbags that get greenlit on some big media site somewhere. So tired of their boring diatribe.

IT'S OVER. OBAMA WON. YOU LOST. STOP BEING TOTAL DICKS AND START FIXING AMERICA.

If Sen. McCain was actually in command of his position, he'd bring in a new chief of staff and perhaps new communication personnel, to at least appear as if he was investigating the chilling accusations that he raped and killed a girl in 1990.

It's okay, you didn't know. It's like taking that tranny hooker back to your hotel room. Sure, nothing will fully take away the shame, but at least in your heart you know you didn't go into it knowingly.

Also, what potential law has the IRS broken? Even at its worst it seems like managerial abuse of power which deserves all around firing, but what about abusing their discretionary power to investigate would have been illegal? Just curious.

Well, advice from Rubin is sort of useful,

You know, if yer bright enough to do the exact opposite.

Kinda like going into a casino and watching as some loser goes through their money rapidly, ya wait until they put their last chip on red and and then ya bet everything you have on black.

catusr: Is it possible to get to the "bottom" of an issue?

well, the Right has certainly jumped the gun by starting out with baseless accusations first, left themselves nowhere to go from there but finger pointing and hoping this one sticks.

I would go so far as to say no, these issues have no bottom (every one).  I was just wondering to myself, there's a lot of talk being slung out there & there's not a story in any of it.  It's kinda silly, I WANT a story, not some more GOP ear fodder.

I guess it's just slow news days (real news i mean).

Get to the bottom of it?

Get to the bottom of the IRS discovering that right wingers are tax cheats? --sorry, no explanation or apology neccesary

Get to the bottom of the fact that the GOP nontroversy over benghazi turns out to be hinged upon them wanting the president to be able to shrug aside the constraints of spacetime and beam people out.

Sorry, you got nothin.

Ooh, or maybe to 'get to the bottom' of the DoJ subpoenaing phone records...with a warrant, and thus COMPLETELY LEGALLY.

Onoes! Teh scandalz!

So much for Rand's meritocracy... LOL

When will people like Jennifer Rubin a job?

The point here isn't just that Rubin and so many were very, very wrong-in her case, knowingly, arrogantly so-it's that in a world where press institutions claim the high ground in the new media landscape, boasting of ethics and accountability, they keep people on their payroll who admit intentionally misleading readers.

When will these media institutions fire the liars? Or is keeping liars on board imperative to some weird mission of balancing out the truth-tellers? Someone should pay a price: Rubin. If she doesn't, the Washington Post will continues to bleed credibility. It's their choice

Why won't Obama address the serious allegations that something of some sort might have been done by somebody?

All the republicans want to do is have an investigation to get to the bottom of it. Why won't Obama cooperate with the Republican investigation, first by firing his entire staff, and them by resigning?

Maybe, in an odd way, we should thank her for what she did to Romney's presidential campaign.

Romney Tortures Jennifer Rubin

On the one hand, Rubin's deepest roots lie in ultra-hawkish pro-Israel neoconservatism. On the other hand, Rubin has appointed herself unofficial spokesperson for Mitt Romney's presidential campaign, using her blog to record a daily procession of Romney's wise choices and brilliant triumphs, along with the pathetic failures of all who challenge him.

But could she talk you out of having sex with her?

// that'll really bake your noodle - is she too dumb to make a slam-dunk argument (against slam-dunking her), or too desperate to try?

Yes.  Just what you need, a blood bath.  I'm sure the GOP wouldn't use that to kick up a shiatstorm of innuendo and BS while you have just robbed yourself of the people most capable of helping you manage your PR and opening yourself up for confirmation hearings when someone actually has to step in and do the job the outgoing guy was doing perfectly well ... until you canned him for no reason.  Good idea, twatwaddle.

2013-05-20 04:04:47 PM
So her suggestion is not that he investigate the allegations or make changes at Treasury, Justice, etc.  It's that he change out his communications people.  That right there is all the evidence you need that these "scandals" are Washington theater crap and not real.

and Jonathan Karl is another right wing mole who is ABC news' chief political reporter. I'm sure it's just a coincidence he was the one who bit on the fake Benghazi email leak
