This guy's been a senator for 37 years and his not releasing his tax returns is only a big deal now?

d'oh.

congressman, senator... whatever, they're all assholes.

Gomez hopes to change the dynamics of the race starting today, appearing with U.S. Sen. John McCain of Arizona and focusing on two congressional votes Markey took that oppose resolutions honoring and remembering the victims of the Sept. 11 terror attacks

Wow, what a substantial issue they have there.  Symbolic votes against a symbolic vote.  Sounds like....  history greatest monster, yes?

And you're defining yourself as some sort of "informed" voter?

The Boston Herald is basically a joke. If someone has an (R) after their name, then you can rely on the Herald to proclaim them the best thing to happen to Massachusetts since the Boston Tea Party...

Markey leads Gomez in most polls and Gomez has yet to offer anything of substance beyond, "I'm hispanic and used to be a Navy Seal" and all the usual Republican platitudes.

Yet the media who spent months writing about Mitt Romney's hesitance to release his tax returns have barely noticed Markey's obvious delay tactics.

With Mitt it was hilarious, because he's a soulless businessman who clearly had lots to hide.

I hope the voters are informed that the republican candidate has officially decided to whore himself out to the highest bidder by accepting money from anyone and anything.

This morning Markey released six years worth of returns, the same as Gomez.  Source was NPR.

I'm still livid that they Markey's campaign hasn't used the fact that Gomez was the spokesperson for a Swiftboat Obama group against him.

Gomez is clueless when it comes to the voters in Massachusetts... It seems he's been spending way too much time in the GOP bubble if he thinks outside GOP money is going to convince people in Massachusetts to vote for what is essentially a typical GOP candidate with a boiler plate GOP platform.

The race is Markey's to lose. Anyone expecting some kind of Scott Brown miracle is probably going to be disappointed.

The comments are probably better than the article.  The Herald's readership is pure comic gold when they start commenting.

A wonderful comment by a wonderful Herald reader:

"LIZ WARREN SAID TO MARKEY, 'JUST KEEP LYING TO THESE STUPID VOTERS, THEY ARE INCAPBALE OF THINKING." Like Warrebn Markey is at all the Haitian, Mexican, third world rallys to lure the illegal alien vote. Markey will give away our most precious asset, US CITIZENSHIP, then give the lawbreakers free housing, free healthcare, free schools, free universities, free welfare, free EBT Cards, hell even free cell phones so the illegal will vote socialist democrat for the next 100 years at the expense of hard working tax paying Aemricans. GOD FORBID IF WE ATTRACT THE EDUCATED, DOCTORS, NURSES, ENGINEERS, ENTREPRENEURS PEOPEL WHO DON'T NEED WELFARE AND CA PAY TAXES."

Indeed... Some highlights:

'cause if there's one thing MA lacks it's Teachers, Doctors, Nurses, Engineers, and Entrepreneurs...

He's a registered member of DSA, Democratic Socialists of America. He should have an "S" after his name, along with the present, soon to be past, members of the MA Reps in the US Congress: Michael Capuano, Barney Frank, James McGovern, John Olver, John Tierney. Not bad, huh? 6 out of 10 MA US Reps are Socialists. They're registered in the DSA, too.

Socialists!!!! Socialists everywhere!!!!

Who cares? The Bruins won again and thats all that matters right now.

Finally, someone who gets it... Let's Go, Bruins!

Haitian's are nasty. What do they do for America except drain the treasury.

Viva el Markey....Now give me my free shiat

Anyone want to venture a guess as to what kind of BS is coming out of Markey's mouth in the photo?...Something akin to 'When I freed the slaves"...or perhaps "When I am Senator, we will NEVER pass EBT/Welfare reform without built in cost-of -living raises for everyone who is a 'recipient'".

2 friends are Camb firefighters. One of the funniest stories I ever heard was about a fire on the upper floors of the Ringe Towers. It must have been a Markey fundraiser. The savages were roasting a pig in the bathtub. They were astounded that this was a problem. Hey ED you dolt. Go run in Haiti.

Normally a wetback named Gomez would be a darling for the low information voters but somehow they just can't get past the "R" following his name. The indoctrination, the EBT, The Phones, The Free Housing are just too much to overcome. We may possibly have the dumbest voters in the USA.

ed gave everybody that showed up a free bucket of fish heads

Ah, yes, the GOP Minority Outreach Program is working well, I see...

Martha Coakley f'ed up everything short of burning an Ortiz jersey on Yawkey Way. She had to be punished for that, I suppose.

Both the Herald and the Globe are on their last legs. The Herald does a fairly good job of upholding the traditions of irresponsible yellow journalism but is hobbled by the fact that their natural clientele simply can't afford a dollar a day. The Globe's natural clientele can afford a dollar, but has switched almost entirely to electronic media. The Globe will die sooner because they are utterly incompetent at running a for-profit web site (believe me, I know from experience). The Herald will last one issue longer to gleefully crow over the end of the Globe, then go belly up itself almost immediately.

Right now, this race is Markey's to lose, and unless he decides to punch Tuukka Rask in the face in the next few days, he probably won't.

The only question is turnout- this is the third SUPER IMPORTANT OH MY GOD senate race we've had in as many years, and neither of these candidates is particularly exciting.

If we get 15% voter turnout, I'll be shocked.

It frequently runs columns from Jonah Goldberg and Charles Krauthammer.
So it is much, much worse than the Daily Fail, which doesn't take itself (or pretend to be) serious.

lol.. I love Malarkey's "I invented google and the iPhone" commercial.

He's a piece of crap everyone knows that..  but Massachusetts is week. It doesn't have the strength to vote for leaders any more. Massachusetts wants to vote for rubber stamps so that's exactly what he's promising to be.

/Like him or not, (personally I think cancer was the best thing to ever pop into his head) Kennedy was the last "leader" elected in Mass.

Thankfully, in the Boston area we've recently witnessed the destruction of 9.69 FM Talk.  I'm glad all those conservative asshats went back to where they belong on AM radio.

I saw one in the smoke shop last week that accused Taxbongo of "sounds like nixon" right on the cover.
