(Politico)   Immigration agents upset over the Senate immigration bill. Though it's more like the DEA being pissed over legalizing pot than this bill actually being a terrible bill   (politico.com) divider line 8
More: Interesting, Senate, immigration bill, marijuana legalization, special agents, CIs, immigration agents, USCIS, immigration

I like the way dems/libs are against the E-verify program but are more than willing to pass a bill which requires all US citizens to submit their Bio-metrics to the Government.

So many labor unions, the National Citizenship and Immigration Services for office worker, and another for the front line, hot sun, dry desert Border Patrol.

Don't see them in the May Day parade or on Labor Day, either unless there's a BBQ.

The comments on articles like this one makes me want to restrict the franchise.

Here's how immigration should work:

- Are you wanted for a crime (ie. international warrant, or US warrant)?  This might be the only place to spend any amount of effort (Can we say facial recognition software?)
- Fill out this Social Security form.
- Hand them a pamphlet about the IRS.
- Hand them pamphlet about naturalization classes.
- Hand them the Social Security card off the printer.
- Say "Welcome to the United States".  Preferably this is all done in Roz's voice from Monsters, Inc., possibly in Spanish.

Anything beyond this is too much.  And the desire to "send 'em all back first"?  Really?  Why bother?  "Securrrre the borrrderrrr!"?  You secure the border.  Have fun out there.  Don't get a fistual from sitting on some rock bored out of your skull.  Neither Santa Anna nor Pancho Villa is coming up from Mexico to steal your land.

We need more people to consume more things to grow our economy.  Want to be the biggest and best?  Let 'em all in.  After we drain out every other country we can ask 'em for their land, 'cause nobody is there to use it.

Morons indeed. They give less than a damn for the working poor of America that will be hurt by this amnesty .... they need to look in what the U.S. Civil Rights Commission said about this amnesty harming African-Americans

I work for immigration, and I think the system is too bloated and needs to be parred down tremendously.  Most of the people I know are for immigration reform.  The system, as it is, sucks and is way too complicated.

Also, most of what we do is security checks.  It's not just an approval factory.  I honestly don't know know why the national union is against it, but I'm sure it has something to do with the fact that USCIS just got a new national president and he needs to show how awesome he is.
