Meh, If my ex wife was in the well with the snake and the puppies, she would have ate them all.

pedrop357: Am I the only farking sick of these articles that always have a sentiment like "we could learn a lot from these animals" or something similar?

Like it or not, humans are FAR kinder to each other and other animals than any other animals are to members of their own species or members of another. Humans regularly risk their lives to save others they don't know.

Animals routinely kill the offspring of other members of their species.  Hell, the male members of the feline species, those adorable kitties we love, will eat the young of another in the wild. Not always, but far more often than humans kill another person's baby.

Any (carnivorous) animal capable of doing so would have eaten those puppies without a second thought.

We have some things to fix in our species to say the least, but the animal kingdom is the last thing we want emulate.

Don't anthropomorphize animals. They hate that.

The snake sang a little song to the doggies too.

"Trust in me......just in me....."

Smart cobra.  He knew helping the dogs was the only way his ass (or whatever snakes have instead of asses) was getting out of there too.

Hey subs, if you make a mistake while typing, you can either use the backspace key or highlight text with your mouse to edit.
That way, you won't have to say "sorry, did I say..." when you make a mistake.

I am guessing the owner was glad because he himself was going to eat the puppies.

VTGremlin: How did no one notice a King Cobra in the well ...?

If you've got your king cobra in the well and she doesn't notice, you're doing it wrong.

Farktastic: There are numerous documented cases of cats eating the deceased. They tend to eat the face off because getting under clothing would take actual work. Dogs, on the other hand tend to wait until they are starving before eating dead people.

That sounds about right. In both cases.

Cat: Meh, I'm hungry. Here's a whole person! But the good bits are in the cloth, I'll just nibble its lips.

Dog: I'm hungry! Here's a whole person! What should I eat? I'm hungry! Here's a whole person! What should I eat? I'm hungry...

The owner of the puppies called for help, but snake experts were far away, so he waited. It took two days for help to come, and during that time, Cobra didn't let puppies to die, nor have attacked them in any way

That's right. Even a cold-blooded snake cannot resist the cuteness of puppies.

Your move, kittens.

If you want to be horribly grossed out, google "postmortem predation" for numerous examples.

And naturally I had to go there. Thanks for the nightmare fuel.

Lady Indica: neongoats: Lady Indica: More likely the cobra was lethargic because of being in a dark and cold well. Puppies are warm, the cobra was probably using them as an electric blanket. King Cobras are pretty much apex predators, unless it's a mongoose they don't have much to worry about. And the puppies are a little big for it to eat.

It reminds me of my time living in florida. Coral snakes... the baddest, most poisonous shiat in our entire hemisphere, super common, live everywhere there, and the amount of actual bites that happen are very very small. It's like they exude confidence. "Nothing is going to fark with me that I can't kill with a bite, so no need to stress!".

Yeah coral snakes aren't really high on the aggressive scale. I think king cobras are, but the cold probably had more to do with it than anything I'd guess. I can tell you from living in California, rattlesnakes are aggressive as shiat if you step near them, but generally they won't chase after anyone. You pretty much have to step on them to get bitten.

We live near a river and we have cottonmouths.  They tend to stick to the water or the mud where you don't normally walk, but if you surprise one they get really pissy.

I've never heard of anyone getting bitten by one.  Even though they put up a good front, I think you'd have to really fark with one to get it to bite you.  They usually just slink away after the show.

I watched the Big Cat Diary and in one of the seasons, a Lion kitten was killed by a wildebeest and the mother ate her own kitten.  At that point I realized if I died alone in the house my cats would probably eat me.

Animals are real assholes.

How could they?  Well, they could keep heat sources around by not killing them.  You ask really weird questions.

/how could you bring yourself to this
