(In Serbia News)   Two puppies devoured by king cobra after falling into well. Sorry, did I say devoured? I meant saved and protected for two days while they waited for help   (inserbia.info) divider line 16

Am I the only farking sick of these articles that always have a sentiment like "we could learn a lot from these animals" or something similar?

Like it or not, humans are FAR kinder to each other and other animals than any other animals are to members of their own species or members of another. Humans regularly risk their lives to save others they don't know.

Animals routinely kill the offspring of other members of their species.  Hell, the male members of the feline species, those adorable kitties we love, will eat the young of another in the wild. Not always, but far more often than humans kill another person's baby.

Any (carnivorous) animal capable of doing so would have eaten those puppies without a second thought.

We have some things to fix in our species to say the least, but the animal kingdom is the last thing we want emulate.

More likely the cobra was lethargic because of being in a dark and cold well. Puppies are warm, the cobra was probably using them as an electric blanket. King Cobras are pretty much apex predators, unless it's a mongoose they don't have much to worry about. And the puppies are a little big for it to eat.

Smart cobra.  He knew helping the dogs was the only way his ass (or whatever snakes have instead of asses) was getting out of there too.

How could they?  Well, they could keep heat sources around by not killing them.  You ask really weird questions.

/how could you bring yourself to this

The snake sang a little song to the doggies too.

"Trust in me......just in me....."

The owner of the puppies called for help, but snake experts were far away

"Hello. this is Apu with Snake Experts. Have you tried turning your King Cobra off and on again?"

Hey subs, if you make a mistake while typing, you can either use the backspace key or highlight text with your mouse to edit.
That way, you won't have to say "sorry, did I say..." when you make a mistake.

In India. Australia is like a warmup for India's forests.

The story is from India. I still call BS on the letting it go, though.

Also, puppies are too big to be food. Unlike sharks, snakes can't take bits and pieces.
