Suicide is always an option. Jaw amputation sounds a little too hardcore for me.

Is there something I am missing about these stupid annotated images? Are they supposed to be funny? Clever? Informative?

Maybe I skimmed too hard, but nowhere did the article explain why it makes your jaw glow.

Sorta. They just said "Phosphorus binds to bone."They didn't explain that white phosphorus glows when exposed to oxygen.

I'm with you, however, nowadays they can probably fashion you a replacement jaw out of coral or some such. So if you are rich as fark, it might still be ok.

I'd need a coroner or pathologist to help on this, but I suspect meth-mouth to be a variant on fossy jaw.

How much of meth-mouth is due to consuming meth, and how much of it is due to the usual poverty and lack of self-care that go with drug addiction?  They found out some years ago that the problems associated with so-called "crack babies" were not due to the cocaine abuse itself but to the general syndrome of poverty, lack of nutrition, and lack of prenatal care that went with crack addiction and abuse.  On the other hand, the effects of fetal alcohol syndrome are specifically ascribable to the effects of overuse of alcohol.

In Meth's case it messes up your salivary glands. You can't replace it all by drinking tons of water either because saliva helps protect your tooth enamel to keep your teeth from rotting.

The free market forces simply re-directed the company to a better product.  No harm done.

Well most of the problems with meth that come with meth use are from the contaminents from some cleetus thats not a chemist making it from household cleaners that arent really the exact right chemicals. If you was using actual pure pharmacutical grade stuff you wont have most of those issues.

Lemmy from Motörhead has been using meth for like 40 years and doesnt look like a faces of Meth ad.

umm how many ADHD kids on prescription meth have meth mouth?

Jon iz teh kewl: umm how many ADHD kids on prescription meth have meth mouth?

Presumably the prescribed dosage is sufficient to treat ADHD without causing meth mouth.  "Controlled dosage" is part of this whole "medicine" thing.  There's also the fact that legitimately manufactured pharmaceuticals are supposed to be free of harmful adulterants and contamination and so forth, which isn't always the case with stuff that's manufactured in clandestine amateur laboratories.
