As long as they're testing their missiles by shooting them into the ocean and not waving them around and trying to start a war, I'm okay with this.

They don't have warheads. The only fish killed would be one that happened to take a direct hit when it splashed in. These tests are for the delivery systems.

Meh, they were probably North Korean dolphins and whales anyway, so the world is better off without them.

Bomb the shiat out of Pyongyang. Between the constant sabre rattling, the concentration camps/political labour camps and associated human rights abuses, the constant famine, and the overall contempt for their own the people, the higher-ups in Pyongyang deserve to die.

Watch the documentary "A State of Mind" and you might feel differently. Them be real peoples there.

I've seen it. Yes, there are real people there. But it's also the highest concentration of Kims and their sycophants. The more you toe the party line, the more likely you are to be in Pyongyang. For the sake of the rest of the country, and future generations, it would be a small price to pay.

And do  you want to foot the bill for bringing the civilian population kicking and screaming into the 21st century?  Whoever cuts off the head gets stuck with the moral responsibility of keeping the people alive until a new head can be attached.  That's going to be tough when the civilians have been taught for decades that the US is The Great Satan and the civilians have no idea how to create a government.

If anyone has a reasonable chance of helping NoKo make a smooth transition from their current government to something less oppressive, it's China.  Maaaaaybe Russia.  Maybe.

Fuggin Bizzy: Whenever you find yourself advocating to start a war, you've automatically lost the moral high ground.

Not really, no. It depends on what you're advocating a war for. Stopping genocide? Yeah. Not really losing the moral high ground there. No reasonable person would argue, for example, that war against the Axis Powers during WWII was immoral knowing what they know today.

Bombing the retarded kid because he actually made something in model rocketry class? Yeah, that's kinda crappy.

Personally I don't know why North Korea is anyone's problem other than South Korea and China.

North Korea: Pop 24 mil, GDP, 40b.
South Korea: Pop 50mil, GDP 1614b
China: pop 1354mil, GDP, 12,405b

Pretty sure in any conflict North Korea gets curb stomped.

About now is the time where someone chimes in about the bullshiat claim that NK could "level seoul in minutes" using their DMZ artillery positions, ignoring the fact that only about 10 of their guns could even reach the outskirts, and the US has enough counter-battery radar in the area to flatten it in minutes.

Those who can't see that the NK government's actions towards it's own people warrant extreme measures are in no position to judge what is or isn't moral.

This.

That said, I find myself wishing we could send a more...direct, targeted message. Like sending a Reaper drone to fire an unarmed cruise missile at the Palace's doorstep, empty save for a few DVDs meant for High Command. On the DVDs, pictures of various fighters and bombers being loaded up with ordnance and a single message to the effect of, "You play a dangerous game. Escalate it further, and the next missiles that come in won't be bringing entertainment."
