Secretary Gates makes clear how ridiculous the GOP's criticisms are regarding the response in Benghazi.

"It's sort of a cartoonish impression of military capabilities and military forces," he says. The military must have time to plan and prepare before going in to dangerous situations, and Gates said that in this case, "there just wasn't time to do that."

You remember Secretary Gates of the Bush administration, don't you kids?  Yeah... he wouldn't have sent forces either.

"We don't have a ready force standing by in the Middle East - despite all the turmoil that's going on," Gates says, "with planes on strip alert, troops ready to deploy at a moment's notice. And so, getting somebody there in a timely way would have been very difficult, if not impossible."

A man can't even wake up on a Saturday morning, hungover, without BENGHAZI being barked from a notoriously dip-sh*tted website. Thanks.

At this point I'm hoping that Obama gets caught molesting a 9 year-old boy just so I can stop hearing people clamoring for a scandal that isn't.

It's worse than that.  Apparently the guys Townhall is saying here should have been sent aren't even military.  Looking at their website, it seems like they're a crisis response team - Townhall is saying that Obama should have sent in FEMA to keep Hurricane Sandy away from New Jersey.

president Biden would be kind of awesome. No kid gloves. No "can't we all just get along" crap.  But it needs to wait until after the midterms so we can (potentially) get 10 years.

Do you think it matters to them that they contradict the very policies they championed in the past? Do you think it matters to them that their arguments have more holes than a cheese grater? It's not about reality, or justice, it's poisoning the well, pure and simple. The gripes must flow!

The idea of Biden intrigues me. This is not a man you want to fark with, regardless of his proclivity for gaffes. However, he seems the type to pull an LBJ.

FEST was ruled out from the start?  They didn't even try to send forces.  They decided to let Americans under attack fend for themselves.  What were they thinking?

If Republicans were in charge we would have sent in the Delta force immediately.  We could have called it Operation "Eagle Claw" or "Desert One" or something all macho like that.

Yeah, who needs all that macho Rambo mentality.  Better to just let them fend for themselves, and then spin the story afterwards.

Well, let's look at what else they didn't even consider:

Sending drones to kill Gdhaffi immediately following the report.

Clubbing war orphans to threaten the distant relations of the attackers.

At no time did we even consider sending weaponized holly wreaths with soldiers cleverly dressed as Santa Claus to break into the homes of the assailants and steal their televisions and 8-track collections.

The Administration, likewise, didn't even consider putting Grandpa Jones, Minnie Pearl and Chuck Norris as Special Investigators.

Truly, a travesty...

FEST is not 'forces'.  They aren't combat troops - they're FEMA for terrorism instead of natural disasters.  What, exactly, do you suppose they could have done?

Yes, because you would call your local fire department when a house on the other side of the world is on fire. That is very prudent.
