gweilo8888: Or, instead of buying a piece of land solely as an investment and wasting money on putting a fake cemetery there, maybe you could use it for something useful, Mr. Property Owner?
KrispyKritter: could be worse. owner could be allowing homeless to sleep on his too small to develop odd lot, kill and rape them at random, build a cage with their bones. see? he's not so bad.
Begoggle: I don't see why homeless people would care if it's a cemetery.I wouldn't care. Not much difference between a cemetery or a park.

Wookie_Jesus: ....and drunk.I'm in the wrong thread.............But what about Feck?
astouffer: gweilo8888: Or, instead of buying a piece of land solely as an investment and wasting money on putting a fake cemetery there, maybe you could use it for something useful, Mr. Property Owner? How many homeless shelters do you own exactly?
wildcardjack: Hey, every square inch must be paved or built on or else THE COMMUNISTS HAVE WON!
Maybe you should drive: I think most of us want the best for most people. Having said that, I have seen how a significant portion of my city has become completely destitute over the last 20 years or so after the enormous homeless shelter was built. It was done with the best of intentions, but the area of town within a mile or so of the shelter has become virtually worthless.NIMBYism sounds awful, but I know I would be furious if I worked my whole life just to find out the city was going to build a homeless shelter in my backyard. I don't know what the answer isI do think this guy had a decent idea. He just shouldn't have advertised it. Homeless people aren't disconnected with reality. Once they know these are fake headstones he will have the same problem.
Zombie Butler: Begoggle: I don't see why homeless people would care if it's a cemetery.I wouldn't care. Not much difference between a cemetery or a park. That's what I was thinking if you are desperate enough to be out on the street in the first place why would a few gravestones stop you?
squibbits: Until they find out about this article... then it will be a campground.
pippi longstocking: A sign that says "Now Hiring" would have been more effective.
gweilo8888: wildcardjack: Hey, every square inch must be paved or built on or else THE COMMUNISTS HAVE WON!Every square inch that has been zoned for paving or building should be *available* to pave or build upon, yes. In case you hadn't noticed, we have plenty of people and businesses that can't afford property, and that's in no small part because of asshole property speculators who inflate prices by holding onto empty land solely to sell one day when the price has spiked because not enough land is available and/or all the adjacent land has been developed in a particular neighborhood, or similarly holding onto empty property because it's an investment instead of letting somebody else pay to live / conduct business there.
Carn: So lots of people saw how awesome those homeless people had it and decided hey let's give that a shot! I kinda doubt it.
skinink: So instead of homeless people being there, he'll attract poorly dressed Goths who write bad poetry in cemeteries.[25.media.tumblr.com image 500x308]
