So basically, he's saying it's OK for a man to break the 7th Commandment because it's the woman's fault.

2013-05-17 02:55:49 PM
Well, to be fair, he's not really wrong.

Nice to know one of the country's biggest Christians is indistinguishable from Muslims who punish women for their own depravity

Er, subby, he might be right about that.  The stupid part of his comment was that he blamed it on women.

Whoops, also the "it's not men's fault" part is stupid too.  I only meant the "in their DNA" bit might have some truth to it.

Heck, I'm just glad to hear him admit that DNA actually exists.   It's progress, of a sort.

As above, the worst part of Robertson's statement on adultery is the woman is responsible for being hot enough for the man not to sin.

Also, he asks the woman to ask herself "Is he handsome?" as a qualifier for keeping the man around. Lovely.

At least, Robertson didn't say to assassinate the cheating husband. He saves that punishment for heads of state that butt up against BIG OIL.

Nope.

Pat's unintentionally means it's God's fault.

He believes God guided evolution over the last few billion years, ergo, God made men's cheating DNA.

Oh, I don't know...I, for one, have never seen Robertson naked.

He may be right but that doesn't remove the responsibility of the man.

Just because you are genetically wired to do something doesn't mean it's ok for you to do it.

Men and women are genetically ready to have sex after puberty, does he think that's ok too?

2013-05-17 03:18:50 PM
But...but..but...I was told that they could, ya know, shut that thing down!

2013-05-17 03:18:55 PM
God must be a real asshole for forbidding men to do what He made them to do.

I think pat has some hidden adultery in his own past.

1) I was mad by GOD in his image
2) My DNA is promiscuous

/looks like I just found religion

So is it God's will or the science behind DNA? You can't have it both ways Robertson.

Now we know what he means by "700 Club."

2013-05-17 03:19:52 PM
So Pat Robertson supports legalizing marijuana and says that men can't help but cheat on their wives? Perhaps he has a lot more in common with Farkers than we think.

Cheron: 1) I was mad by GOD in his image

I stick by the above spelling

nekom: Well, to be fair, he's not really wrong.

Not exactly wrong, no. But his unspoken implication is that men are simple beasts with no self-control. You know, like dogs who can't stop themselves from humping whatever leg happens to be handy.

Isn't that kind of insulting?

/To men.
//Not to dogs.
///Dogs don't care.

nekom: Well, to be fair, he's not really wrong.

It really doesn't make any difference if he's correct or not.  It was still a stupid, insulting, insensative, and ultimately unhelpful thing to tell that woman.

And what does this genius say about wives cheating?

2013-05-17 03:21:29 PM
does this stuff piss anyone else off? I can't be the only guy on here that isn't a cheater? Never done it.

It always ends up coming out sooner or later, doesn't it, with all those who "doth protest too much"?

well, DUH,  have you not been paying attention to the last thousands years of Christian and Islamic thought?  it ALWAYS the woman;s fault particularly when men do something sexually inappropriate.  All goes back to that biatch Eve.  If she hadn't FORCED adam to eat that apple after all....

2013-05-17 03:27:44 PM
He's right, but he's not admitting that it's also true for women.

There are biological advantages for both sexes to be polyamo...polyamour.....um, sluts.

I have dreams about brokering a deal with TNT, TBS, MTV or any broadcaster willing to listen about setting up a pay-per-view cage match between Pat Robertson vs. Salman Rushdie.

If human behavior is not volitional then there can be no such thing as a sin.  Thus Robertson effectively fires himself.

Wait... isn't one of the conservative arguments against the homos that they're promiscuous?

Cheating on your wife seems way worse than casual sex.
