MagSeven: My point is that lots of people ONLY do the Stern show or the O&A show. They make it exclusive. That seems a bit silly to me. Why not do both? You seem to disagree.

Oh, well I agree if that was your actual point. All I know is that O&A are more comic friendly and that is why I like the show more than Howard. I still actually like Stern but it's all about him while O&A shine the light on people that are beyond radio funny (like stand ups).

Cool. I think we're actually agreeing but missing our mutual points in context.  I will listen to O&A every now and then in youtube clips, but I'm pretty much a Stern listener. O&A are definitely more comedian friendly. Stern seems to have Joan Rivers, Amy Schumer, Whitney Cummings and Gilbert Gottfried in endless rotation (although we haven't heard from Gilbert in a bit). Stern definitely suffers from not having a Jackie or Artie.

Jackie's Joke Hunt is probably the best show left on the two stations.

TheJoe03: Hang On Voltaire: I agree.  I do like the comedians on O&A but as mentioned earlier the show has turned into "listen to O&A plus Norton watch Youtube videos"

Well I don't have satellite radio so the only exposure to both shows has been through Youtube. I used to listen to both when they were on terrestrial radio and I've always preferred O&A. Can't say I've heard Stern or O&A's most recent (aka 2012/13) stuff so you might be spot on. Both do seem to be going through the motions at this point.

Wayne 985: O&A's formula is great, but the two big problems are O&A. They're just obnoxious and unlikeable. Norton and Patrice were always better.

Well Opie was never that funny but he is actually likable while Anthony is pretty funny but is quite obnoxious. Like I said earlier, the comedians they have on the show are the reason I always liked them. It truly sucks that Patrice is gone, he's another comic (Norton as well) that I discovered through the show.

After my last post, I thought it over and came to a similar, but not quite identical conclusion. I've heard Opie do the show without Anthony before and he's actually pretty decent. Anthony I can appreciate in very small doses, but he poisons the well for me pretty quickly. I'm still not a huge fan, but if it were the Opie and Jim show, I'd listen a lot more.
