Alcohol may have played a factor

NO. WAY.

I say let the drunk kid have the last laugh.

Sue the living crap out of McDonalds for not having "not for adults" warnings on their high-chairs.

/if hot coffee can win, this should be an easy one

That hot coffee case involved 3rd-degree burns and skin grafts on genitalia.

Of course alcohol played a factor -- he's Irish.  No report on the toy he got with his Happy Meal?

2013-05-16 09:54:11 PM
How skinny were his legs to actually fit through the leg hole things on the seats?

Was the chair slatted?
This is important.

After a photo of the incident went viral, McDonald's piled on with a tongue-in-cheek release reiterating its recommendation that "children don't use the high-chair without adult supervision."

Burn.

Alcohol may have played a role.
Alcohol may have  been a factor.

For the love of God, pick one.

Anybody else can see a woman touching herself on the right?

Might have known someone that did that in a little kid swing at the local park.

/might have been kind enough to cut him loose, after taking evidence of course.

Fallout Boy: Have you ever considered that, as a nurse in training, that someone like him could be mentally-ill and not fully responsible for his actions?

Honest question; I am going through my BScN as well.

Actually, they are mentally ill in a way.

Quite honestly, a Pedophile doesn't see anything wrong with their actions because of this. It's effectively a seperate sexual orientation, above and beyond that of heterosexuality or homosexuality. It's how people like Sandusky can stay married for years while still enjoying playing Priest and Altar Boy in the Penn State showers.

Still, some people who have lived through being a victim would take quite a large amount of schadenfreude in seeing their attackers get what's coming to them. Be it a rapist, or a pedophile.

Fallout Boy: hardinparamedic: Gyrfalcon: So was he DOA at the jail, or did he survive booking?

Dunno, but supposedly all the officer got was a "talking to" for letting him fall. :)

Quite frankly, and if it makes me a terrible person I really don't care, people like that deserve everything they get. Including it being known what they did in general population.

Nope, sorry, I'm tired of that excuse being used.

I will argue all day long that pedophiles have a truly awful Catch-22 in their lives, caught between mandatory reporting laws and the irrational hate that pedophilia sparks in normal people. And I will gladly agree that a pedophile should have access to virtual kiddie porn if it means he won't be screwing toddlers; and that "Megan's Law" is a sham and a fraud.

But this idea that mental illness makes a person somehow not responsible for their actions needs to be squashed like a deadly mosquito; and I say that as a mentally ill person who has never killed anyone, stolen anything, abused anyone (except myself), and somehow managed to be a productive member of society my entire life. A pedophile may have a harder row to hoe than almost anyone else on the planet--but he's still entirely responsible for anyone he hits with his hoe on the way.

/rant off, sorry.

Umm... why police? Do they have special rescue equipment? I'm not trying to come down on them, I'm wondering why they were there at all. I would think emts would be the ones to call in that situation, or the fire department.

Fark-made headline. Penalty on the internets.

I spent some time thinking about the best way to get him out.

His leg fat is probably keeping him pinched in there and the added weight from his torso spreads out the fat making it hard for him to get out.

Pick him up and lay him on his back on the floor and then you should be able to pull it off him because the weight causing the fat spread in his thighs would contract and you should be able to work his legs out.

Yes. I have too much time on my hands :/

I spent less time coming up with this, awesome idea, than I spent time reading that you "spent some time thinking."

Sounds like quite the conundrum.

Self-abuse is best abuse.

This. If alcohol was merely "playing a factor", it looks to me like it was some damn fine method acting.
