*quick Google search*

Well, shiat, they are, but their show was last Friday.  Dammit.

Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes were by far the better jizz-wail band, subby. Sy Snootles was an overrated singer anyway.

No Coheed and Cambria? Fail

To date, they remain the only band whose guitarist has a scrotum for a face, with the possible exception of Coldplay.

Glorious.

If you're going to list Doctor Octagon, you have to include Deltron and MF Doom.

jghanc: No Hawkwind?

Wouldn't Hawkwind be more fantasy themed (songs about Stormbringer and so forth.)?

No kidding. They had a great harmony going on. Snootles was just another glitterstim junkie.

As noted, Parliament Funkadelic should have been on there.  So should DEVO.  And an honourable mention to Art of Noise.

90's hipsters in Western Canada might also be familiar with The Mants.  They're lots of fun.  They're playing Sled Island in a couple of weeks if you're in Calgary.

How was Rush left off of this list.  Yeah, they also had a lot of fantasy also, but when you've been around for 40 years you're going to mix it up a little.

Seriously, there were so many great sci-fi/space acts in the 70s and 80s that the list was obviously written by someone so appallingly ignorant about music that they shouldn't be writing lists.
