Apropos of simply nothing, I feel it incumbent upon myself to blame yobbery for posting this .gif in last weeks' thread:
lilyspad: Sickapie: tigerose: lilyspad: tigerose: So,I have three seniors dominating my dining room table, building a roller coaster..They are currently eating dinner..I grilled burgers and turkey dogs. One student has a pork prohibition. The cat is confused, he thinks he should be eating too! As for myself, I've poured a large glass of wine...nothing like waiting until Sunday to build something worth 500 points..and it is due Monday! *runs screaming*Must be a roller coaster for ants...... :D Fly on over....we can scream together! (and get drunk!)Oh man, soo tempting! and yes, ants would enjoy it!Ug, can I come too? My anti-anxiety meds haven't kicked in yet (and won't for another 3 weeks) and alcohol sounds reeeeeeealy good right about......NOW.:oD I'll even bring bizzert!Absolutely! I have lorazepam, beer, fixin's for gin and tonics, and I just finished a big batch of breakfast burritos!! It's sunny and really nice here today! Plenty of places to park the brooms..... :D

How can we still be at so low a count? Methinx me's not receiving, or something.

quantum_jellyroll: predle:You are a very strange man...I know.In another time, I probably would have been horsewhipped and draggedbehind a stagecoach to get the evil spirits out of me.
What an evil spirit might look like
Juno, demanding that I hold her and not play on that stupid computer.
lilyspad: Bummer!! One of my co-workers gets that. Very painful, from what I hear! Hope it gets better soon!! :D
quantum_jellyroll: yobbery:There a other ways as well. Using a finely tuned shovel, swat the hovering bastard and listen for the satisfying 'ding' sound emitting from the shovel as it makes contact with the bee's ass. Since they have little hair to soften the impact, carpenter bees will make the shovel 'ring' longer and have much better hang time than your standard bumblebee. In case you cannot find, or your neighbor has not yet returned your finely tuned shovel, there is always this option.Bound to be a hit with the other flying pests as well.
credit sherpa, 2-18-13. May be late back, have ganze Menge of stuff to do.
lilyspad: tigerose: Is there a rude teenager spray out there that I can use? I get he is stressed..but..ugh..boy tantrum, followed by hubby tantrum...followed by me getting an ulcer. Someone please tell me idiot teenagers do eventually turn into semi-adults?? Pleeese! Sorry, but the only man in the house who isn't pissed with me is outside terrorizing chipmunks!Yeah, they do...eventually. Boys take a bit longer, though. Get real excited for 30! Years, that is. :D
Well Juno was in solitary while I was at work. When I got home she walked out like everything was just fine. They're still having problems, but not as often or intense. Hopefully by morning we'll be back to the usual state of insanity, not all out war.
And dafuq just happened? it previewed correctly.... :o(/ gonna have to keep an eye on this here fark website thingy........

Anyone got a good caption for it?[i1214.photobucket.com image 639x484]Best I can do sober ;-)/goddamnitsomuchHoly crap! They're eating into your deck? Get some Raid and nuke them from orbit!Worst problem I've had with bumblebees was when they took over an old gopher hole in the front yard. Ran over it with the mower and found my self surrounded by them, I ran, they went back in the hole and I plugged it up with dirt (and salt and Holy water and cement and nails etc...). I can handle snakes and reptiles but bees and wasps are Satan in my book. If they leave me alone, I'll leave them alone, otherwise it's kill 'em with fire.If they're eating wood they aren't bumblebees, they're carpenter bees. The way to tell the difference is by the hair on the back end. Bumblebees have fuzzy butts, carpenter bees have hairless butts.Oh great...now I'm going to be running around looking at bee asses!! :DThere's other ways to tell (though not as definite) without getting so close. Male carpenter bees "patrol" the area around their nest to protect it and try to "get with" any females in the area. They're quite aggressive, and like to hover right in your face if you get too close (fortunately, the little male bastards can't sting, which makes it safer, if not less intimidating). They'll also do what I can only describe as "engage in dogfights" in midair. They'll dive bomb each other, circle a few times, and then fly off. If you see bees doing that in an area with lots of exposed wood (like my deck) there's a very high chance that you've got a carpenter bee on your hands. Confirm it by finding perfectly round, approximately 1/2 inch holes in the wood (seriously, I wish my drill was this good), and ...

tigerose: lol! It is fit that they are attracted to musical instruments! I think that the Harper Hall series is one of her best. The most recent ones, penned by her son..not so much. Too much time travel, and confusing without a durn chart!
KimJ: I haven't read any of the recent ones. I stopped reading McCaffrey when she started making everything romance-centric. Pern, Acorna, Rowan/Damia. I don't know what's the point of creating fantastic universes if you're still going to center everything about main characters finding their "soul mates". (And those relationships are almost always heterosexual, as if no one else can hope for a "perfect" match...)

Pursuant to my prior comment about the white one bugging the sh*t outta me, it seems that the usual "midnight snack" offering of premium quality cat food is no longer acceptable. He wants his gruel... aka renal diet food
lilyspad: sherpa18: personally, i like my rum straight (well, mixed with diet coke... )To be honest, and this is just me, but I don't understand how people can drink diet pop. It tastes nasty (to me) and is not nearly as healthy for you as real sugar. Not that a lot of added sugars are GOOD for you, but natural sugars are better for your body than man-made. I am NOT trying to get on a soap-box...don't send me hate mail. I'll just shut the f**k up now. Carry on.... :D

I can wiggle my ears too. Can't curl my tongue...but I can wiggle my ears! You know, I've probably seen it before in the ago, but can you please tell me the history behind your user name? You can EIP if you prefer......just curious. :D
John Buck 41: sherpa18: drinking heavily can't hurt, right? Trick question? :) Hang in there, Pal.

Happy Caturday Everbuddy!
tigerose: We have a pretty steady breeze going tonight. Very tempted to hop on my broom and go visit Salem Witch. I have a hankerin to give Susie a biiig smooch! And I thought I might share some of my sauteed chicken with onion and garlic, swimming in an alfredo sauce, with morel mushrooms. (re-hydrated from dry). Served with whole wheat/ramp fettuccini. Ramps are like a wild onion/garlic bulb.. And not like the ones that grow in my garden..grr...No idea if they are edible, but I might try..I have enough of them!!!Hmm..who else could I visit/pester...
Did you know it's been documented that it's possible for identical twins to be different sexes and born years apart to different parents. This photo provided the ultimate and final bit of irrefutable proof of this phenomenon, right down to the identical angle of pigeon-toedness.
