Aw hell, I just got caught up on the thread and all I can say is .....
sherpa18: lilyspad: Sherpa, apply rum heavily as directed...and call me in the morning!! :D[i415.photobucket.com image 450x355]/ personally, i like my rum straight (well, mixed with diet coke, but plain out of the bottle) without spices, colors, or flavors// i'm a simple drunk sherpa
tigerose: BBBB Sounds truely yummy. Did they use rice vinegar? It can make a big difference. Then again, our palate is not their palate! I never thought to do french toast grilled cheese sandwiches...interesting idea!I have to make french toast wif egg whites. Whole eggs make my tummy unhappy..my grandma had teh same thing..
This has not been one of my better days
laulaja: [i.imgur.com image 480x640]revisit lilypad's Kitten in Sporran of yesterday. Had some Seeks needing made. which took me to find that kilt is that ofClan Leslie. Kings Own Scottish Borders, the Royal Regiment of Scotland founded 1622, serving mbrs of which may wear trews (trousers) of this tartan.Pipers wear Royal Stewart, the so-familiar red one.So this really could be Cheeky in her youth in 1973!Also find, cat in box thought to be Furry the Queen Mum posted by moi yesterday,is very similar but not her. Now to tend to my medical hdwe programming needs.
So I take Jasper in to get his rabies booster shot today. On the official rabies certificate they list his breed as 'Domestic Long-Hair'. Is 'Maine Coon' not an official breed or (God forbid!) politically incorrect?
Well Juno was in solitary while I was at work. When I got home she walked out like everything was just fine. They're still having problems, but not as often or intense. Hopefully by morning we'll be back to the usual state of insanity, not all out war.
Brian Blessed's Bastard Boy: lilyspad: Brian Blessed's Bastard Boy: valnt9: oh, since we're on a food kick-much earlier B4 mentioned doing a french toasted grilled cheese...one of my all time favorite sandwiches is grilled ham and cheese with a slice ofspiced apple ring tucked in the ham, dipped in egg/milk mixture and fried like french toast.the desert to this was vanilla ice cream with peaches and raspberry sauce.//droooooolllllllIt was just meh. Probably have to tweak the recipe some to include some taste in the french toast, but the theory works. Maybe should have had a side of syrup in a small bowl, but my daughter never eats syrup, so we didn't do that. Going to be another two weeks until we do this again, so plenty of time to get a few more ideas and run with them.Cinnamon??? Maybe, I don't know.... Good on all for trying it though! Sounds like a fun family thing to do!!There was cinnamon in the batter, but it just didn't come out in the taste. Not sure what else except maybe adding vanilla extract to the batter would help, but we'll eventually come up with something to make it better.
credit Haruko_ on date not recorded, but Ago.May also leave this on the other Caturday thread, Because I Can.

catmandu: Sickapie: tigerose: lilyspad: tigerose: So,I have three seniors dominating my dining room table, building a roller coaster..They are currently eating dinner..I grilled burgers and turkey dogs. One student has a pork prohibition. The cat is confused, he thinks he should be eating too! As for myself, I've poured a large glass of wine...nothing like waiting until Sunday to build something worth 500 points..and it is due Monday! *runs screaming*Must be a roller coaster for ants...... :D Fly on over....we can scream together! (and get drunk!)Oh man, soo tempting! and yes, ants would enjoy it!Ug, can I come too? My anti-anxiety meds haven't kicked in yet (and won't for another 3 weeks) and alcohol sounds reeeeeeealy good right about......NOW.:oD I'll even bring bizzert!I am about to mix up a batch of homemade Bailey's Irish Cream. You want me to stop by too?
sherpa18: * runs into thread, slams door and locks it in a vain attempt to keep out real life *Sorry for being AWOL this week everbuddy, my brain is flailing all over the place, too many things to worry about and not nearly enough brain cells to go around to handle them all. :o([i415.photobucket.com image 138x204]I figure if I hide out in here for awhile, you guise will make me feel better. And hey, drinking heavily can't hurt, right?* runs back to nail 2x4's across the door *
dopekitty74: Boots had to get recatheterized this morning. If things don't improve by tomorrow I'm going to have to let him go :(/my poor baby:(
lilyspad: MarkEC: ArmednHammered: DoomsDayAardvark: ArmednHammered: MarkEC: I got lucky taking this picture while I was on a smoke break the other day. This bee was just hovering there watching me. Anyone got a good caption for it?[i1214.photobucket.com image 639x484]Best I can do sober ;-)[i773.photobucket.com image 623x458][i445.photobucket.com image 639x484]/goddamnitsomuchHoly crap! They're eating into your deck? Get some Raid and nuke them from orbit!Worst problem I've had with bumblebees was when they took over an old gopher hole in the front yard. Ran over it with the mower and found my self surrounded by them, I ran, they went back in the hole and I plugged it up with dirt (and salt and Holy water and cement and nails etc...). I can handle snakes and reptiles but bees and wasps are Satan in my book. If they leave me alone, I'll leave them alone, otherwise it's kill 'em with fire.If they're eating wood they aren't bumblebees, they're carpenter bees. The way to tell the difference is by the hair on the back end. Bumblebees have fuzzy butts, carpenter bees have hairless butts.Oh great...now I'm going to be running around looking at bee asses!! :D
predle: Help, my house has become a war zone and I'm really worried that somebody is going to get hurt. Juno was sitting on the window seat and a strange cat was on the porch. She started making that growling/howling sound, when I went to see what was happening the other cat took off, but Juno started acting like she's never seen any of use before. She was hissing at me and howling at Lucy and Morticia. She's not hissing at me or Lucy anymore but she's making it clear that she's ready to rip either one of us to pieces if we get too close. But Morticia and Juno are still howling at each other and are on the verge of a huge fight. I have no doubt that someone, probably Juno of course, might get really hurt. I've tried treats and I can get Juno to eat one but it doesn't calm her down and Morticia won't even look at them. I really have to de escalate this before I have to leave for work or I'm afraid I'll come home to a bloody mess. We've had problems like this before but not on this level.I joke a lot about Juno, but as I've said here before, I really believe that her brain is not wired correctly. I'm afraid she'll start something that Morticia will be happy to finish.

tigerose: John Buck 41 glad you liked it. Abandoned animals have been in my thoughts lately. They seem to be targets of some supreme cruelty of late. It hurts my soul.
As it should all decent people.
Jasper and I a couple nights ago. He is the most cuddly cat I have ever had :)

tigerose: lol! It is fit that they are attracted to musical instruments! I think that the Harper Hall series is one of her best. The most recent ones, penned by her son..not so much. Too much time travel, and confusing without a durn chart!

monykers: [img.photobucket.com image 480x640]Well, I haven't dated anyone on a serious level for about 2 years after I got out of an abusive relationship. MegaTron was affected as well. He never liked any guys I've brought home since then, but loooves flirting with girls. Anywho, I've been dating this really good guy for a long while now and a couple days ago while he was sitting on the couch, MegaTron came up and sat on his chest! I haven't seen him do that to another male hooman in years! Even though I'm really scared of commitment, I like this guy and I think I'm finally ready to be in a committed relationship. This is him letting Tron smell his hand. I'm glad Omega and I are both progressing in facing our fears.
