Never seen him sleep on his head though.[fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.net image 720x960]WHAT???? Still no bebbehs???? Dang......Nope. The wife and I are as stunned as anyone else. Her milk has dropped, but other than that, she's shown no signs of getting ready. She's eating everything in sight, including hooman food, as well as stealing all the ferret treats we just set out and threatening any furry animal that comes near them. She already has a "safe place" right? I think you mentioned that. A closet, or something?? Can't remember..We have a spot for her out in the kitchen with a wire fence around it that the rest of the cats avoid. She's also spending way too much time on the kitchen table, which is frowned upon, but we don't do too much about it because she's pregnant and very defensive. My scar covered hands are proof of that, seeing as how I'm the only one dumb enough to handle her, or brave enough if you want to see it that way. Everyone else just gives her a wide berth and lets me handle it.Sounds to me like she is looking for a place away from prying eyes, and access. When I was younger, all our Mama's had a hidey-spot, like in a closet, or something. giving birth is stressful for them...they don't want anyone, or anything around. We always had a nice, quiet place for them when the time came. Made ahead of time so they got used to it.One time, Mama had her nice little spot......my Mom woke up in the middle of the night to something warm and wet next to her leg in bed! Mama had birthed, and then taken the babies into Mom's bed.....thought my Mom was going to have a cow!! Got them all gathered up, and back into their little "nest". She was fine after that...my Mom was pissed!!! :D
I_fling_poo: Dinky had to go to the v-e-t office yesterday and spent the night under observation. He ate some crayons, color pencils and a paper towel. This was not a smart move for such a little Chihuahua. After two x-rays, a barium treatment and an IV, he's a little better. They released him this afternoon. He's passed out on my lap right now. Let the healing begin.
So I take Jasper in to get his rabies booster shot today. On the official rabies certificate they list his breed as 'Domestic Long-Hair'. Is 'Maine Coon' not an official breed or (God forbid!) politically incorrect?

laulaja: [i.imgur.com image 480x640]revisit lilypad's Kitten in Sporran of yesterday. Had some Seeks needing made. which took me to find that kilt is that ofClan Leslie. Kings Own Scottish Borders, the Royal Regiment of Scotland founded 1622, serving mbrs of which may wear trews (trousers) of this tartan.Pipers wear Royal Stewart, the so-familiar red one.So this really could be Cheeky in her youth in 1973!Also find, cat in box thought to be Furry the Queen Mum posted by moi yesterday,is very similar but not her. Now to tend to my medical hdwe programming needs.

This is my Dinky.. rescue kitty from 30+ ft up a tree for a week...

Back in the day (late 70s at UMO) we had Doors parties. Weed, beer, Doors albums (on vinyl---DUH) and Spacey 8s. A card game with many local variations aka 'Screw Your Neighbor'.
Ray wasn't my favorite band member but I loved his keyboard work. I too, have a sad.
Been home from chorus for a while; tended to all & Been Reading.Regret hearing of the OK losses, & the ills & ails. Tiger goes to see the unspeakable 3-letter word in the daylit AM, then Stripe on Wed. I get lab work on Thu, early; professional_vampire's associates'll make another withdrawal. Watch the Naptown Race on Mon, then last 3 of GangOf5 have appts on Fri (2 AM, 1 mid-afternoon). Did splurge for smaller LBurch cat carrier from Petsmart sale yellowcat so kindly mentioned, so we may try 2 at once.Other Caturday thread hadn't moved at all since my last post over there. Also been numerous good feline pix on imgur, this most recent:

Diocletian's Last Cabbage: OWWWWWWWWWW!!!!111!1oneoneonewonwunjuan!Ouch, ouch owww oooo :-(Gout flared up again. Spent the whole of Caturday on the couch, in pain. Finally got my foot under control enough to hobble over to the store and buy some cherry juice concentrate for under $20. Mixed a spoonful in with every third whiskey-coke. That, and about 50 baby aspirin, and I woke up Sun morning without any feeling in my foot whatsoever. After drinking my way out of the hangover, the feeling came back and now my foot is (mostly) back to normally. Albeit with a weird bend from the ball to the big toe. And still swollen, needed to loosen the laces on one shoe this morning before walking in to work. So, alls well that ends well (mostly).\what did I miss?
Stroke of 12M as I arrive at Temp Threadsend.John Buck 41 & Jasper's rabies shot cert: Weeks from now when I have/can find time I should look & see what's on Furry's & her sons' certs. Wonder if I need apologise to anyone for not especially being a Doors fan .....Natch Doomsday Aardvark would call shenanigans on my mis-ID of the tartan. We do own a copy of Clans & Tartans but I fear it's in a box in storage; haven't seen it in some time. Found on furrther research the following: Two infantry regiments, the Royal Scots and the King's Own Scottish Borderers, merged on 28 March 2006 into the Royal Scots Borderers, and with the other Scottish infantry regiments amalgamated into the single seven battalion strong Royal Regiment of Scotland. The current Commanding Officer is Lt. Colonel Ben Wrench. Wikipedia had this.Ian (I'm fairly sure) Savage who 'our' late beloved Cheeky owned first of all, may have served in KOSB himself before the merge. His dad Jim said at one point, "Savage by Name, Savage by Nature."The ritual Bb may sound before I finnish this (hope not) but I need to turn into a meatloaf soon.
