Cats in hats? I can even keep a collar on this one. She go out and comes back without it within hours. Every time.

This is my breakfast cat.
She comes in mornings, stays for some love, then gets thrown out when I go to work.
I think she lives a street or two over, so I don't knwo her "real" name.

I call her "Kahvalti" which means "breakfast"

OlderGuy: Greetings all... TGIC !!.. or.... Yay ! Caturday at last.... Fred is home.. had a UTI... and told me about it.. all fixed up now, on a new food regiment..  picked him up from the vet yesterday evening.. they brought him out in the carrier and all you could see was his butt.. put the carrier in the car, said his name and he turned around and the motor started... first action after being released at home from the carrier was to flop on his back for a belly rub.... after which he demonstrated that he could now pee.... hopefully the new food will prevent a reoccurance....

Glad Fred is feeling better..  My boy Boots had to have unblocking surgery on thursday, and was on IV fluids to try to flush out his kidneys yesterday.  Am anxiously waiting an update from the vet, but have no idea when they'll call.  It was around this time yesterday morning they rang me with a progress report, but being the weekend, not sure how many people would be there.

The very first pic of Boots I ever saw. This was what convinced me he needed to be MY cat.  Hope he's able to come home from the vet soon.  I miss my little attention whore.

in2it: Hi everyone, it's not a happy Caturday here, one of my cats has decided to run away from my home.
Even though my wife was home everyday, I guess this will happen if the main care taker (ME) is working away from home for a couple of days. Hopefully he'll get hungry and wander back home.

That is super creative! What language is it from?

In college there was a neighborhood cat who used to come visit our (coed) fraternity house for pets and scritches. We never found out her name but we weren't as creative as you so just called her Miss Kitty.

Vet just called.  Boots is doing much better today!  He ate last night and is much perkier today.  Vet says his kidney levels are improved too.  As long as he can pee on his own by tomorrow morning, he'll be able to come home tomorrow.

syzygy whizz: tigerose: Spiralmonkey: tigerose: *Rolls out very large wheel of Smoked Gouda* to go with my Whine! Oh my gosh my knee hurts. Aleve hasn't helped. I took 2 at noon. And yeah, I rode today..but we just walked! Wine is not helping either...this started week or so ago. Sort of woke up with Spock/Horta "The pain".. And this is my good knee! WTF? I hurt it 2 yrs ago. Why is it suddenly throwing a tantrum? I do.not.have time for this! My son graduates in 14 days? Ahhhhh!

Have you tried an Epsom salts bath? I know, onion belt and all that, but it works. Same for magnesium tablets. You can also get a magnesium oil spray. It really helps me with muscle pain.

If that doesn't work take 2 fingers of Bunnahabhain and call me in the morning.

have not tried it, but it is a good suggestion. I need to clean the tiband its groddy mat first! So, not tonight...maybe in teh mornin..had to lookup the pain reliever..:)

Thinking you meant 'tub and its grody mat', right?
Make your life easier.  Toss the mat into the washer with a towel and use some vinegar in the rinse.
It will clean and de-grodify the mat.  Saw this in 'Hints from Heloise' years ago...and I do this for the tub mats at my group home.
Only way I can think of to clean the tub easier is to get someone else to do it... ;-)

Easiest way is to put laundry detergent in the tub and fill it to the top with hot water. Leave to soak for 20 minutes then rinse off. The detergent should be able to get rid of grease, which is what makes the nasty ring stick to the tub in the first place. I got that tip from the tv show "How Clean Is Your House".

If that fails you can always fall back on my advice to Tigerose and take 2 fingers of Bunnahabhain then you won't mind what state the tub is in.

And for the record, I can neither curl my tongue nor waggle my ears, but I can do the Spock-Vulcan hello thing with both hands without thinking about it.

Cloudchaser Sakonige the Red Wolf: My eldest, Seis, born 2002 and my youngest, Emperor Ming, born summer of 2010 on a fine spring day a couple of years ago.  Unfortunately, the Emperor has not been seen for a week now.  Having wandered away is unlikely given his past behavior.  Very afraid of strangers, so someone having thought he was a friendly stray isn't possible.  So is having been run over given our location.

Here's a video of him and his two years elder brother Marmalade having a standofish playfight in May 2012

Maybe he's just out trying to conquer new empires, and bring riches to the household?  Hope he comes home to you!!  (HUGS)

My uncle Allen used to be an aunt eater.

Kahvalti means breakfast in Turkish.
She has been getting luvs n scritches every weekday breakfast for four years, and I'm moving away Monday.  I hope the new tenant will appreciate their breakfast cat!

Oh I do so love the long hairs! and mostly black, even better. I have never understood the whole "black cat bad luck" thing. Because I have had nothing but good luck with all my former "blackies"...Sending hugs and scritches, apply where needed!

I've always preferred black cats.  Maybe its because of the whole superstition thing about them.  Pigment discrimination.  I love my cuddly fuzzy friends  :)

My black kitties discriminate against the one grey cat in the house.  And when one of the kittens born last year (also black) went to go live with a friend of mine's parents, he terrorized their grey cat for a little while at first.

And I thought I might share some of my sauteed chicken with onion and garlic, swimming in an alfredo sauce, with morel mushrooms. (re-hydrated from dry). Served with whole wheat/ramp fettuccini. Ramps are like a wild onion/garlic bulb.. And not like the ones that grow in my garden..grr...No idea if they are edible, but I might try..I have enough of them!!!

Hmm..who else could I visit/pester...

If you do hop on your broom, make sure to wear your rain gear.

I love this hat but I hate the caption in the article.  That cat did not don that hat.  He's wearing the hat, and will probably soon doff the hat, but he certainly did not don the hat.

I guess if that's as bad as my day gets today I'll be happy.
