Unless of course, it ends in an over-sized cartoon-inspired box with a stick propping it up, casually labelled "free donuts" with a string leading around an incredibly obvious corner...

FTA:  Sherman "eventually led investigators to additional stolen property, more ammunition and a computer, which he had buried in his back yard"

So, the booty was stolen by a pirate?  Were they gold coins?  Arrrgh!

They took my kitty litter container full of coins when they hit my house. Cops said it was always a big prize for thieves. Very common target. So wish they left a trail to their house.

What if the coins are painted gold and make a cheery electronic sound when you pick them up?

Two sexy girls.
Two sexy girls that I'd like to bone.
Two sexy girls that I'd like to bone wearing skimpy Mario & Luigi costumes.
Two sexy girls that I'd like to bone wearing skimpy Mario & Luigi costumes, that may imply they'd be jumping around grabbing floating coins.

Good work.

Wonder if they followed the trail Pac-Man style, instead of eating the coins they picked them up.

This is exactly why we need to ban stealing.

People get guns through stealing and that's not ok!

Forget the coins....

Drafting equipment?  That is like stealing buggy whips in terms of it's usefulness.

I'm wondering why you would steal a T-Square, or a triangle, or maybe it was an electric eraser, or perhaps a lettering set

if he stole a whole adjustable drafting table by himself I'd be impressed

Had someone break into my and my roomate's car. When through all the compartments and took all the loose change. (about 1.25 from mine, maybe 3 bucks from hers). But they left the GPSes. (and left my Metallica Garage Days CD as well)

You failed at both attempts. The ref has issued a red card, you now need to sit for a minimum of 2 threads with the terms "gun, guns, firearms, firearm, robberey, burglary, boom stick or chicken fingers" in the headline.

Regulate the color red.

Red is the color of blood. It's offensive.

My question is like the initial question located in the proto-comment above: WHY?

Sherman "eventually led investigators to additional stolen property, more ammunition and a computer, which he had buried in his back yard," the release said.

Were they torturing the guy or something? First rule of being a criminal is always keep your pie-hole shut, am I right? Self incriminating criminals are giving crime a bad name.

Your right. He should of waited it out a few days then post it on his FB wall like the rest of the smart criminals.

I believe most thefts are done by acquaintances of the victims.  You invite someone into your home, they see your stuff and start talking to their rat bastiage friends and before long, they break into your house and steal your stuff.

My ex old lady stole a bunch of rare coins from me when we broke up and I checked every auctioneer and pawn broker around. Nothing. Those things were in a cigar box (thankfully not the entire collection) and that one box was worth a good $15 thou. Only had a face value of less than a few hundred, tho.
She had used it at face value for drugs.

I smile when I see her pushing a shopping cart ( with all her possessions in it ) down the street on occasion.

Farking coont. Karma is a beaotch.

Well, this thread has taken an unexpected turn

2013-05-16 03:32:18 PM
Ha. One place I lived, we had a community mailbox on a concrete slab base. One morning, I looked outside to see the mailbox was missing. Looking closer, I saw there was a trail of concrete scrapings where the perp had chained the box to the back of a truck and dragged it. I hopped on the bike and followed the trail, only to find the box behind a nearby convenience store, with a few slots unsuccessfully pried. I called the police and local postmaster, and we had a new box the next day, along with all our mail.

Yeah, they don't seem very brilliant most of the time, and seem to just grab what's there that looks cool. The second time they hit my truck they took (among other things) a $20 Maglite and left the $150 Surefire, they got the case for my stereo faceplate but not the faceplate, an old beat up pair of boots but not the dozen brand new climbing quickdraws that were on top of the boots. Oh, and all my change.

They aren't smart, and they tend to be kinda cowardly. If they were either they wouldn't be breaking into other people's houses while they were gone.

criminals, in general, are exceptionally stupid.  it's a primary reason someone turns to crime, the lack of the ability to foresee consequences.
