FTFA:
While state police found no evidence that the seven allegedly committed anything more than trespassing
...
The alleged trespassers, five men and two women,
...
While the news of the alleged trespassers concerned some area residents, most wondered what they might have been doing and why.

Perhaps they were there to observe the submarine races at the reservoir.  After all, they are recent college graduates.

I go down by the Quabbin
Yeah, down by the banks of the reservoir
That's where you'll find me
Along with imams, jihadis and sheiks
(But they're cool people)
Well, I love that poisoned water
Ohhhhhh Boston you're my target

Remember that story about a year ago about the guy who peed in a reservoir and people were so grossed out that they drained and cleaned the reservoir, even though hundreds of birds piss and sh*t in it every day and dead animals are even found in it sometimes? Yeah, people are stupid.

It is utterly fascinating how people will get all freaked out and terrorized about some "furriners" looking at a freshwater reservoir (OMMFG TURRURISTS!) and it makes headlines.

But when someone calls the EPA or the local water quality board to complain about the fact that their tapwater is suddenly now a slimy shade of brown, stinks like diesel fuel and leaves chemical burns on the kids after they take a bath when some company starts fracking for gas or dumping coal mine tailings upstream from their water supply, those same "terrorized" individuals bend over backwards to obfuscate the story or suppress it altogether and label anyone who makes the complaint a socialist/communist job killing big government liberal.
They've actually made the claim that nobody has the "right" to clean potable water coming into their homes.

I wonder how different the reaction would have been were all seven of them white Americans

So, did you hear the one about the seven Muslims who hated America so much, [HOW MUCH DID THEY HATE AMERICA?] They hated America so much, that they tried to poison the reservoir but then realized it would taker more than a tanker full of pesticides? Did you hear that one?

TFA:  The alleged trespassers, five men and two women, were found by Trooper Adam LeBlanc. At about 12:30 a.m. he noticed two vehicles parked off Route 9 near the middle gate in Ware, which leads to an area near the spillway and the Winsor Dam.

1230 AM submarine races. Seems legit.

Five men and two women. Giggity.

It's a euphemism for 'making out', usually used when talking about doing it in a secluded spot near a body of water such as a lake, river, etc.

Exactly. I figured it was when you *censored* your *censored* while she *censored* somebody else's *censored* *censored* and *censored* *censored* *censored* until you all *censored* all over *censored* *censored* and she is so full of *censored* that she is considered a submarine.

Ugh, William Weld.  Every time I see his name I think of the "down to earth" news article that was written about him and how he is a family man and his favorite Sunday morning activity is to make breakfast for everyone.  "Daddy's eggs" is what the kids called them.

Ever notice how certain cities are Meccas of terror? Boston saw the 9-11 hijackers fly out from their airport, the marathon bombing and now an obvious planning of a mass poisoning. Hope they have equipment to test for every imaginable contaminant in their water prior to pumping it out to the residents... If not they'll regret it one of these days soon. Waco, tx and aurora, Colorado are two other towns that strike me as Meccas of terror. There are so many cities in the US, why is it repeatedly those three that have all the trouble?

Don't worry, citizens, the only things going into that reservoir other than water are pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, and industrial waste as defined, licensed and permitted by your government in partnership with your friendly local job creators.

Please vote Yes on "Fracking For American Exceptionalism" on next Tuesday's ballot.

There's lots of trails around there.  It's a pretty popular hiking and recreation area, but you're supposed to be out once it get dark out.

With two girls with them, sounds like these guys went with a not so plausible excuse for why there were in the woods at night with two girls.  Typical engineers.  Next time just go with trying to get lucky.
